They should do a set of Monopoly tokens featuring small figurines of 80's capitalists, like Gordon Gekko and Patrick Bateman.

I don't believe this is even real. How could a company miss the point of their own game? This is like going to a steakhouse and ordering Play-Doh.

I'm pissed that they have a rubber ducky, a penguin, a T rex and NONE of them have a top hot or a monocle Give the penguin a monocle and top hat, he'd be Sir Reginald Featherbottom III. (Dammit, now I want a Manger Babies version.)

Technically T Rex could represent fossil fuels.. sure. it COULD. but that would be boring. clearly it represents the money making juggernaught that is the Jurassic Park franchise.

I feel like I'm missing something.
Like I should have some positive feeling about this, but I don't.
I always thought Monopoly was a wretched nightmare from hell because the only win condition you have is literally making everyone else lose. Which like, yeah. Thanks, Hasbro. Monopolies are bad. I don't want a board game peeling off one pound of flesh from each player for every hour.
Just...man. I've never had a good time playing it.
And it does make me feel some kind of way about if people should even be getting excited to play a game that's supposed to demonstrate how ****ed a monopoly is.

Booooooo the thimble has been MY piece my entire life. Like all my friends and family know to not touch the damn thimble if I'm playing. Mine too. At least it's easy as hell to replace...a buck-fifty will get you a brand new one in the sewing / arts & crafts aisle at major retailers everywhere.

If I can't play as the T-Rex, I will play as the penguin.
And if I'm losing badly as the T-Rex piece, I will start playing it in character and knock over other people's houses and hotels as if a T-Rex was rampaging through downtown Atlantic City.

It forces a player to go to the dark side of their nature. Law of the jungle. You have to be ruthless, to destroy everyone else. If you win, you still lose.

Before they got married, my parents did these classes with the church pastor about marriage and life. The pastor told them, to reveal the true person inside, there are two things you can do together:
1) Go fishing, or 2) Play Monopoly.

Wasnt the point of the old tokens to be various industries (Textiles, Military, shipbuilding, Automobiles etc) that make a monopoly? the T-rex industry is Booming! Spared no expense
