She's their employee who is the victim of a very serious crime and invasion of privacy, which is consequently causing her and her family a shit ton of harassment and vitriol from all corners of the internet. That's all that needs to be publicly acknowledged by them here, why would they want or even need to bring up the belt? I'm not denying that, I agree with you that she definitely needs help - what I'm asking is, how do they do this publicly? What initiative could they spearhead to make this any less horrible for Paige? I don't think WWE making a public statement of support would help in any way here. It would only draw even more attention to the situation and that's not going to help anyone. We don't know if they reached out to her privately and it's not our business if they did. Her family is making her sound suicidal. I really hope that's not the case. I'm hoping it's just a statement to guilt people into chilling out with harassing the family. As horrible as this is she can get passed this. People bring up the Seth Rollins pic and say it wasn't a big deal for him so it shouldn't be for Paige. The Paige stuff is a lot more graphic. There also aren't going to be tons of scummy guys looking at him funny or making nasty comments. Paige is going to get a lot of that for years to come because she is an attractive woman. Unfortunately that's just the way it is. Just look at twitter. It's awful.

I stand by what I said months ago. WWE should cut their losses on Paige. She's not worth the hassle, even before all this shit hit the fan. I'm amazed they've decided to get involved in a movie about her. problem now is if she does anything like attempt suicide it's still on their watch as she's still under contract, they terminate her contract it could be the final straw that pushes her over the edge into god knows what. stress can make people do strange/unexpected things. a death or full psychotic breakdown from paige would be a bigger p.r. blackeye to the company than what has leaked so far. best thing wwe can do is tell her to lie low for a while for the entire thing to become yesterdays news and offer to pay for any therapy/help she needs if she does indeed need it. Agreed Get her into treatment asap (maybe a little distance from Alberto), get her away from the internet for a few weeks, let her talk with her family and friends Ain't easy handling all of this at 23

So this is what actually alarms the family. Not the drugs abuse ,the horrible behavior or the destructive relationship of their daughter. This. So, because they publicly spoke on this, you think the other stuff didn't alarm them? Not everything needs public decree. This specific situation, it appears, does. But just because they didn't publicly say anything before doesn't mean they weren't alarmed. Add to the fact this is the most PUBLIC Scandal Paige has been involved with by far. Like yeah her Wellness strikes are public scandals but we don't know what she was wellnessed for so when fans are harassing her family members or her online calling her a cokehead, there isn't a lot of substance in the insults because they don't exactly know what she was busted for. Even if the guess was right, they don't know. With this scandal it's public and leaves nothing to imagination. You have assholes linking these pictures and videos to her family members, herself, Del Rio, Vince McMahon's, HHH, Stephanie McMahons, twitter pages. There is great deals of stress over speculation about her employment and forever being a public pariah. There is a great deal of shame she has that even some of the more liberal supporters are having a hard time in accepting her debasing a championship. Championships pretty much symbolize promotions in this business and if that's what some fans think imagine how people who run the business must feel in giving her a championship belt in the future. Add to that stress may increase consumption of her rumored self destructive possible substance abuse behavior. And add to the stress this hacker in on this sadistic journey of leaking these videos in a slow gradual period of time and not all at once so she can't escape the news cycle. This is hardly wait for the longest weekend to finally be over with. I wouldn't be shocked if there was a best case scenario situation that did happen with Paige returning, is cleaned up, wins a championship, and bam another video is leaked right after just because.

It is pretty clear she has been riding out her contract with WWE and I can not see them releasing her now because she was a victim of a crime despite her recording her own actions. With the family speaking out and saying these things about Paige the best thing WWE can tell her is get out of the spotlight and relax. I guess what is fortunate for her is it does not seem recent material but it is still a major embarrassment for her. She is not on TV so they do not have to worry about coming up with an excuse but Xavier is a whole diff story for smart ass fans to try get their shit in. It will be interesting if WWE publicly back her but I doubt it considering shit that got released before of Seth or Dana but those were only pictures.

You know what, the biggest swerve that ever swerved would be if she released these herself to somehow get herself out of her contract

The other shit was difficult to handle and while those violations are on her own accord, this one sort of is as well but it got leaked to the public. What you do in private is whatever but if there is some type of drug related issue, she will slip back as a coping mechanism. The best thing to happen to her was that WWE did not release her after her strikes and while she is still under contract they can still keep tabs on her or at least give her the advice their legal team suggest as far as staying out of the spotlight and things of that nature. She was clearly riding out her contract until the end and may still do so but in the short term I would believe she has some sympathy from some in the WWE to help her while others are more than likely extremely pissed and ready to just let her go. The parents and WWE def have to stay in communication with this to make sure she is in the right mind.

This whole situation is incredibly f***ed up. The one massive thing that can redeem it, is if WWE come out and publicly support her, and I really hope they do. And what would you want them to say exactly? "We're cool with our prestigious titles being jizzed on, lay off her already!" I can't begin to imagine the situation this woman, as well as the countless others who got hacked, and their families and friends - I can't imagine how horrible it must be, I'm not trying to downplay that here.. ...just checking since the title thing has become such a huge talking point here...it's bad for an object that meant a lot to fans of women's wrestling as proof of how it was going to be serious again and not just a belt for matches that were glorified sexual objectification to be used in a sex act... ...but it's perfectly fine to take the woman who held the title at the time and potentially cost her her job to perform inside the ring for those fans to see her wrestle, because some person decided to look at it and say "Nah, I'd rather see her as a sex object?"

Best they can do is keep Xavier off TV for a few weeks, or New Day as a whole. Just film some segments with them pushing the ice cream stuff and air those until things die down.
As for Paige, This is an awful situation and I do feel bad. That said, videos like that are not something to keep on one's personal cell phone. Stick them on a flash drive or something that can't be hacked into.
Hopefully if there is any upside to this mess, it's that people will be alot more cautious about personal stuff like this and where they store it.

I doubt they will keep New Day as a group off TV for this but the potential of fans hi jacking the show is high. Besides that they are hosting Mania and probably got segments littered all over the show so smart ass fans will get their shit in. One would hope they would take a more cautious route to not get caught out there like this but as they say shit happens and I am sure some are sweating thinking their shit is out in the open too.

I'm not worried about The Mania Crowd. I'm more worried about The Night After Mania crowd. If I was WWE Creative and The New Day I would be already writing a backstage/outside of backstage segment with The New Day while the production crew can mute crowd noises and such for TV.

They are in Brooklyn tonight right? If anything WWE will control the shit out of New Day segments so yea there will only be backstage segments or outside as you said. While they do not get flustered the crowd will not let them speak and rather than having New Day say something snarky in return it is best to just put them in a controlled environment.

The suicide talk seems a little melodramatic. In the grand scheme of things this is an embarrassment to be sure, but one that'll die down and pass.
Everyone gets naked, most people have sex..this should be no more than a bump in the road.
One hopes she doesn't take things to quite that emotional extreme.

Wrestlemania crowds aren't that smarky and even when it gets smarky it's easier to control the audio production of a stadium show. Like just read the day after online reports of certain chants being muted out in a Cena/Reigns match or boo's being toned down and still sounding great on TV. Hell some of those reports are exaggerated that only one section was heard making a loud chant but since it's in a big open aired venue, people in other sections couldn't hear what was being said or trying there own failed chant.

I'll be there in person so I'll see what happens. But you got 70,000 people and I'd venture to say a good 5-10% of them know whats going on.

I would think the suicidal talks come from the amount of shit put on her the last few months. However, in fairness she has not been shy with the Del Rio shit and she came at WWE during her suspensions. WWE was a closing door for her anyway, as I said before best result is that she is still under contract with them and can stay out of spotlight for a bit. Assuming she is not traveling and partying with Del Rio on his indie dates.
