I doubt many investors would get too upset by something like this as there's been plenty of celebrities affected by leaks and none of them have been dropped from deals, to my knowledge. Disney didn't fire Scarlett Johansson from her Black Widow role because of her leak and Disney is an actual family-friendly company instead of the "Please don't rock the boat" one WWE is. When you think about it, WWE's constant fear of negative PR actually benefits Paige in a situation like this. SJ isn't the best example being she also did a nude scene on top of this stuff. The big issue with this is how graphic it was for Paige but it wasn't her fault regardless. She didn't release it and the fact it happened clearly years ago. Should she been more careful to be filmed sure you could say that. The WWE isn't going to do anything and it's not a PR issue unless it turned into a Hogan deal where someone in that video said something that turned into the upproar that Hogan's situation did but that isn't the case here. This is more like the Pam Anderson situation where her career didn't suffer because her tape was leaked. Why should Paige's or anybody else in the video be different?

There's a rumor about Linda McMahon naked pics, they're painted inside a cave about a billion years ago Truly one of the greatest posts of all time.

As someone mentioned, I think we lose sight of the fact that wrestling right now is way, way, way under the cultural radar most of the time. I get that HHH was on ESPN and things like that and Cena is in movies and stuff; but I'm talking WWE in general in pop culture--this won't make a blip unless it's a mention of the recent leaks as a whole.

That's probably one reason why so many people pine for the Attitude Era, because that's when everybody loved wrestling and it was cool to say you were a fan. That was almost twenty years ago and times have changed. Only wrestling fans give a rat's ass about wrestling nowadays. WWE is the pinnacle of the industry, and outside of John Cena, everyone that works there is still a big fat nobody in the scope of pop culture. The only way these leaks would get any legitimate media attention at all is if instead of Paige, Xavier Woods, and Brad Maddox, it was Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Hart, and The Rock.

Pretty much. Even the places that are feeding this are mostly "Emma Watson! Rose McGowan! Some wrestlers too." And guys, just a heads up - I feel this thread is headed to its end in the very near future. There just isn't much more to say on the subject, and the jokes aren't helping.

One thing that has pleased me about this whole situation is the fact that, unlike the first go around with this stuff, we're not getting wall-to-wall coverage on cable news like we did in 2014. When this whole thing first broke, it was a blip on most of the news websites, and then it was gone. Doesn't change the harm it's done to those affected by it but, I'd like to be optimistic and say that folks outside of parts of the internet have become less compelled by this sort of stuff. Probably more worried about their own shit being hacked seeing as they've officially charged the people who hacked 500 million Yahoo accounts. 500 million. Half a billion private accounts. That's a mind-blowing number.

From going back and re-watching Attitude Era stuff, it's crazy to see just how big it was. Man, talk about a golden era for wrestling; Steve Austin got crowd reactions every single week that John Cena would kill for.

Honestly, those facts just seem to make this far, far more worrisome than just these leaks. Right now, the reactions to the leaks from wrestling fans- combined to how the places reporting on them feed into these leaks basically ignore them- have seemed to put wrestling women into a huge sweet spot: They're going to get a huge reaction from wrestling fans whenever they leak, but they will get comparatively ignored by mainstream outlets (and thus keep it somewhat underground and out of the news, thus making it more likely that the scumbags who do it get away with it due to this lack of outcry.) If that's the case, these reactions might possibly lead to more and more wrestling women having a target put on them by the hackers trying to pull this shit just due to being a comparatively low risk for a comparatively high reward- which would make things far worse.

I think Velvet Sky's pictures were also leaked. But since she's in tna pretty much nobody will even pay attention. Being in tna is like being in the witness protection program.

She not even in TNA anymore. She just working the indies I think. She is Bully Ray's Girl Friend still I think so the only small issue if Ray was still in the WWE and even then that wouldn't matter as most WWE fans as you say may not know her. Just remember outside of anybody in the Paige situation, nobody else is a current WWE talent.

That's why whoever it is that leaks these needs to be made another serious example of. The justice system has to show other hackers out there that it doesn't matter how big or small the celebrity of your victims are, you will be ruined much worse than you could ever possibly ruin your targets.

Can I ask, why was this thread locked then reopened? It needed to be cleaned up a bit. Sometimes it's easier just to lock it for a few minutes and remove certain posts. (It also prevents anyone else from quoting posts that need to be deleted and causing more cleaning up).

Like it's more graphic then the Kardashian or Paris Hilton sex tapes. Also Johansson actually got the FBI involved in tracking her hacker and getting him imprisoned. Like I'm sure Paige will be fine and won't be fired for this. But I'm saying with the graphic nature of her leaks it's a lot lot lot more damaging to her career and will be talked about more. Like you'll fans who will never let it go. Johansson leaks were pretty safe and she did future movies that showed more. Edit: It's kind of like how X-Pac still had a decent career after 1 Night in China while Chyna on the other hand had that stigmata attached to her. That stigmata she had probably made her deciding to do porn a lot easier because she was already a pornstar to many wrestling fans eyes anyways. And that's what is worrisome about this Paige situation. a terrible home made porn gave her Stigmata?

I just read on a news site that was sourcing PWInsider Elite saying that WWE don't plan to do anything about the leaks and are planning to wait until it blows over unless a sponsor or someone prominent has a complaint. But I think people knew that anyway.
