I've played a few Power rangers games (The SNES movie-based one and the Sega Genesis fighting game). Looking forward to this.

I still have a repro cart of the Jetman game for my Famiclone. Loved that game, especially once you could play with the Icarus.
Wasn't there also a Genesis/Mega Drive version of the movie game? In which there was a stage that ended with you destroying a statue that took a bajillion hits? Or am I misremembering my 7-8 year old self?

It wasn't in this video since it just came out this year, but there's also Power Rangers: Mega Battle, which is my current pick for worst game of the year. It is absolutely abysmal.

The SNES game isn't a bad game, there really wasn't much for him to make fun of. That said, it was an entertaining episode, the opening was great, we got the Zyuranger theme, it felt more like James just playing the games instead of the Nerd because only one of them was really bad, and that ending was hilarious.

Never played the Power Rangers games and I think I was the only child in the 90s who never watched an episode of it on tv. I still loved this episode though and the ending was hilarious!

I played Both Snes & Genesis games as a kid but that was it.
Young me enjoyed em (Hell even today they're fine)

The new PR mobile game came out yesterday...its not horrible. It's basically that Marvel Contest of Champions game, but with Power Rangers characters. That's not a bad thing at all. |

Even worse than Power Ranger: Super Legends on the PS2 or Megaforce/Super Megaforce on the 3DS? Because if so that's reaching a brand new low for PR console games. |

This at least washed the taste out of my mouth after that awful Christmas episode. It was actually a fun episode.

That was easily one of the best AVGNs in years. Reminded me of his early stuff. Also helps I obsessively played the SNES and Gameboy game.
