They clearly need to have US Agent or William "Steven Rogers" Burnside, become Cap now That's the first time I've seen someone make that joke that way... Usually it was Captain America on Top Gear ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Probably because being British I've known British Chris Evans longer than I have American Chris. Which is why when the name is mentioned that is the first one that comes to mind for me. Honestly the first time I heard the joke was from one of my friends from the UK talking about Cap on Top Gear but obviously mileages may vary

Give the man Phase 4 off to give the "lesser" characters a chance to shine and to give him time to direct, do smaller movies, etc. and then bring him back in Phase 5. Tony Stark may be the MCU's main draw, but Steve Rogers is the heart and soul of it.

Personally I'd say Tony and Steve are 1A and 1B (and Cap is a much more appealing character for me) but the fact that Marvel fell over themselves to renew RDJ's enormous contract despite him having no interest in any more solo Iron Man movies and appear to be happy to let Evans walk away instead of making him an offer that he can't refuse suggests that they see more money in throwing Tony into other MCU movies than they do with Cap.

Wouldn't be the worst thing if they had a bit of a culling after the next big event.

Honestly I'd like to see some of Marvel's big guns step away for a while and let some of the lesser characters run the ball - Ant Man - Ms Marvel - Winter Soldier/Black Widow - Black Panther And then bring em back at a later time maybe I immediately thought of the Captain America reveal in the Maximum Carnage storyline, where he's offering a hand to a downed Spiderman. That would be awesome to see in a movie after five years without Steve Rogers.

I think something will get worked out but they can always bring him back as well if something happens to him in Infinity War and they start to focus on the new stars for this next phase
