"All Bottled Up"...gets a 7/10 from me. Pros: -The interactions between Starlight and Trixie were really good. They were hilarious (Teacup!) and they led to a pretty heartwarming end when they spoke freely about their feelings. I also loved the little touch of Trixie asking from time to time if Starlight was OK, showing that inspite of her arrogant bravado, she is not completely blind to her surroundings. -It was a nice development that Trixie seems to learn more than her stage magic. I am curious how far this will go in the future. -The humor was generally good and the gag with the song costing the mane six the record was genius.  -In general, the story was decently paced. Cons: -So, in all her previous appearances in which we have seen Starlight (even those times when she became angry, see the famous "QUIET!"), she never did seem to summon an angry red cloud over her at those times. That is a pretty big continuity goof in my opinion. They could have simply had an explanation like "I have a condition that causes this every month and I have to be careful with it"...I realize what it sounds like but still, any explanation would have been better than this coming seemingly out of nowhere. -I know some of you liked the B plot but I thought it was completely superfluous. Except for the song gag, it was not particularly interesting or exciting and I would much rather have seen more of Trix's and Glim-Glam's exploits in Ponyville. They could have visited 2-3 more places to look for the table and, given the lines the anger-possessed ponies had, you could have distributed it fairly evenly with 2-3 more characters. The mane six should have been done like in "Dungeons And Discords": Only appearing at the train station and then at the end in the castle. The B plot did virtually nothing for me. -Emotion-based magic? Funny how that conveniently happened in this episode as well when nothing of that kind was seen previously with Glimmy-Glue. Another continuity goof. And that's why "All Bottled Up" gets a 7/10 from me. |

Good example Rainbow Dash: Aww nuts! *Cut to possessed Bulk throwing the cart* Bulk: AAAAAAHHHH! Trixie: NUTS! I agree it wasn't the most engaging B plot, but I do like its intention. |

You certainly make a good point, Alyce: Old Media Enthusiast, and perhaps further rewatches will adjust my score. But as for now, my scores are always based on my first watch, and I am afraid it will stay so. Still, don't let my comment lessen your enjoyment of the ep. If you liked it, then enjoy it to your heart's content.  Pinkie is gonna be so devastated by salty snacks instead of sweet ones. |

Having 2 Plots per episode (Not that type you perv) certainly works well in Rick and Morty.
and it worked ok in MLP.
No complaints here.
