And that's how it ends for Texas Red.

He could barely move and struggled to do anything out there. Match wasn't pretty, but it told the story it needed to.

It did, but it was much on Taker being a 50 year old guy with bad hips and a lifetime of wrestling mileage vs a guy that has just a few really dynamic moves and not much else.
It wasn't ever going to be good.

I'm relieved he decided to hang it up. I got genuinely sad during each of his matched the last few years. It was hard seeing the guy who used to be able to do anything look completely uncomfortable in the ring.

That's like ending your meal by eating the f***ing napkin. I want to stop watching.

The amazing thing is that he still looked better than Roman in that match. I don't think Roman's a slouch, but he's not good enough to really carry a bad worker. Or a 50 year old man with bad hips, knees, and everything else.

*****..... This match completely f***ed up the "Retirement Transfer of Power" that they had going on from Flair to HBK and now Taker. Man, that was horrible.

He just looked so...broken down. I'm relieved this is the end for him. Exactly. I just saw a guy who I have watched wrestle literally my entire life and for most of it look superhuman, look like a broken down old man. Then I realized he is a broken down old man. I don't say that out of hatred for him or the match, it is the truth. There was talk he wanted to be done after HIAC last year, that he flew out family and friends to watch and have a big party but for some reason he wanted one more. He wanted to do what so many others did for him and put someone over by being not just the guy who beat him at WM but the guy who ended his career. I may not be the happiest for how it happened but this wasn't about the fans, this one was about giving Taker the send off he wanted. As a fan, I can love that.

I thought he looked better tonight than he did at the Rumble but that's not saying much really.
He's so broken down that I don't think we were ever going to get a great match to send him off. This was still underwhelming though. Especially with the WWE muting the crowd to protect Roman which made it sound like nobody in the stadium gave a shit about the match. So to the viewer at home it looked like Undertaker wrestled a crappy match to silence. What a send off.
The Hell in a Cell match with Brock was pretty good but yeah he stayed on 3 years too long. Should have retired after 30.

Really should've gone for Cena or someone else. I mean, they put Roman in a really tough position.

Or a 50 year old man with bad hips, knees, and everything else. It kinda makes me wish they had put him in there with AJ. Not entirely cause I love him, but because he's one of the rare guys that can carry pretty much anyone and not look actively worse than the 50 year old man held together by Druid massages. He's like 2013-14 Daniel Bryan in that regard, honestly.

Taker was moving way better tonight than at the Rumble.
But if his last match had been against Brock or Braun and that Tombstone spot got f***ed up like that, Brock or Braun would have deadlift powered up Taker to do the spot. I've never been pissed at Roman like you guys but he pissed me off with that.
But at least there were still a few good spots in the match, but I really wanted Taker to low blow Roman at the end there. At least get one last big shot in.

I didn't think the match was THAT bad but I'm glad it's over. It f***ing sucks but I'm glad he got to ride into the sunset, unlike so many others.

I for one love WWE's "reality era", where the main event of Wrestlemania more resembles "you got really drunk and have to wrangle your even drunker roommate up the stairs". #relatable #tfwwe #tgif

The bar we were in turned the TVs off straight after the 3 count. I'm not kidding that the police has been called and bouncers have been attacked. I don't agree with it but childhoods died and they just literally pulled the plug. The f***?

A shame that he went out the way he did, but Taker had become Jerry Rice with the Seahawks, or Willie Mays with the Mets, or Bobby Orr with the Blackhawks, etc. And that's on him. He could have walked away years ago. Was hoping for a miracle out of him, but unless he had someone that could have carried him out there, like an AJ, Owens, or Cena, all the signs pointed to this being a dud and a terrible way for him to go out. Watching Taker the last few times, it makes me respect Michaels that much more for knowing that it was just time to get out.

I should be devastated by Undertaker's retirement, not pissed.

I mean now when you look back on the past 3 yeears, there's no reason why 30 shouldn't have been Undertaker's sendoff. I also would've been fine with him retiring at 31 after losing to Bray Wyatt, as a passing of the torch from one supernatural to another.
