I think it was David Spade who had a hilarious bit about not realizing celebrities were gay when you're younger. Even when it's obvious.
Some great lines about how he loved Queen, and thought the name was badass. And that Freddy Mercury? That dude is probably drowning in bitches.
And George Michael in Wham. That's a handsome man, he has to be drenched with pussy. Then you listen to their songs:

The restaurant that I frequent that doubles as a gay nightclub in West Hollywood has a full on meat sandwich called the Copacabana. Let's just say I'm shocked. But good for him!

I know why I thought he was already out, now, it was because news got out about his getting married to his longtime boyfriend. I guess he was not out, then, just outed. Important distinction.
It's difficult to imagine how hard it is for people who grew up decades back to come forward with these kinds of things. You sure as shit all didn't get to be Paul Lynde and see a good career anyhow, a lot of people just got dropped. So even with a more open environment now, that fear has got to be difficult to unlearn.
