I didn't even consider Owens/Sami as a team again. Interesting thought.

Yeah unless they are planning on pulling a Sheamus and Cesaro situation I got nothing. ...Owens and Zayn? In terms of the current teams, I think Breezango may end up babyface before long to get the three faces v three heels balance. They'd probably be the easiest team to turn from the heel side. I guess Zack Ryder might be returning soon? But still none of it feels like a big name. Like I would of presented a storyline SD gets the loser of Hardys vs. Sheamus and Cesaro. Sheamus and Cesaro style of wrestling would just suit so well against Usos and American Alpha. But Raws Tag Division is just loaded with Revival, Hardys, The Club, Sheamus and Cesaro, and Enzo and Cass.

On paper, RAW definitely took a win with former World Champions Miz, Ambrose, Wyatt, Alexa Bliss and Mickie James. They also can build a solid midcard with Hawkins, Crews, Slater, Rhyno and Kalisto. However, knowing how they book, RAW won't do any of them favors except for possibly Dean when they book a Shield reunion.
As for SDL, they got terrible picks but all of them except for Sin Cara and maybe Shining Stars have potential. New Day can split up and Big E can become a main-eventer. Charlotte, Lana and Tamina add depth to the women's divison so we at least get some fresh matchups. Jinder Mahal I have doubts about but his promo on Talking Smack shows he has passion at least. Owens and Zayn being on the same brand again is kinda funny at this point. Rusev will be the standout pick of the draft.

Smackdown won by far
Bray Wyatt and Amrbose are the worst. Miz is a great character but his singles matches are barely watchable.
Smackdown got KO, Zayn and Rusev...those 3 alone are enough for a yearsworth of storylines.

I think what I learned from this is... SDL wants a tag team division but isn't fussed on how to go about that.
SDL, in contrast, doesn't really want a women's division. Sure, the storylines were catty fun but there weren't any standout matches (discounting six pack spotfests). They didn't even bother to do the relative dream match of Becky vs Nikki.
I'll say what I did before the first draft: they shouldn't have split the women's division and/or the tags. One of those should have been crossband. Probably the women.

Well, Nikki will be coming back when Cena returns so the Nikki/Becky match can still happen eventually. I think the women's division will eventually light up for both shows in 2017. There are a pool of potential NXT call-ups combined with whoever they decide to sign from the Women's tourney this year. SDL's tag division is looking really dire though. DIY need to come up ASAP.

I think both shows made out okay. Raw gets a bit more star power with guys/girls with momentum while Smackdown gets to build up wrestlers again.

Personally, I kinda love how this turned out. Smackdown removed a lot of dead weight and gained some great in-ring talent. If it wasn't for Cesaro, Bayley, and The Revival, I'd just completely skip Raw altogether from here on out. I love the fact that I can tune in to Smackdown and not have to see any member of The Shield, Stephanie, Braun, Wyatt, or Balor.

The men's and tag scenes are improved on SmackDown - however despite Charlotte rocking up, RAW got the better end of the women's trades. Tamina is in no way a good replacement for what Mickie James brings. But Mickie will be used to help along the girls on Raw. SDL already has Nattie & Becky to do that.

On the plus side BFFs Alexa and Nia can be together on the same show. They need to become the HBK/Diesel of the women's division.

Despite the fact that I just defended him, I'll say this: if we see Jinder and Sin Cara as infrequently as we saw Hawkins on SDL last year, it will be a total victory. Hunico was pretty good... as Hunico. He needs to ditch the Sin Cara trappings. Jinder needs a really out there gimmick at this point. It really should have been Axel & Dallas, drafted to SDL - they can tag and also work as singles talent.
