I'd change my avatar, but beardless Luke Harper is too funny.

If he had a hand in making Dredd which was one of my favorite comic book movies in recent memory then I say let him do what he wants.
He's earned a ton of good faith.

In the movie someone gets called a "f***ing f*****!", but then when it's shown on basic cable the line is changed to "you're a film-flam flash!"

Nah.
And I enjoyed Dredd. But We don't need an adult Mega Man. He's a cute and colorful kids' property.

I could see an R-Rated Mega Man X series. That seems like the sort of world that could work as a grittier and darker setting.
Classic Mega Man, where guys named Top Man and Spring Man exist? Not so much.

I was going to say "Next let's make a really grungy Super Mario Bros movie" in response to this idea and then I realized they actually f***ing did that.
Also, lol @ "rated R Mega Man".

Or, you know, just make your R-rated robot gorefest and leave the cute kids' video game out of it.
Related, I'm confident that Castlevania series is going to suck ass given that one producer quote that worked the word 'f***' in about eight times and kept comparing it to Game of Thrones.

Make it just like the anime, only now we see Mega Man's dick.
Fair compromise?

As long as they get The Protomen to do the soundtrack, they can make whatever kind of Mega Man movie they want.

Goddammit, R-rated adaptations are becoming the new "dark and gritty reboot". It worked once or twice so now filmmakers assume it'll work for everything all the time, without understanding that the few times it did work is because the material lent itself well to it.
And seriously, can we have a movie adaptation of a video game that doesn't f*** with it and completely ignores what it's about? People say adaptations of video games just don't work but it might help if they actually adapted the video games for once.
And of course it's the Power/Rangers guy. Wonder if people are going to eat it up once they see an unofficial trailer as well, because people apparently still fall for this kind of shit.
