I'm definitely encouraged by the Clone Wars era content, the addition of a single player campaign and the space battles.
The previous Battlefront should've been a slam-dunk, day one purchase no questions asked for someone like me. And instead they somehow managed to eventually cool me down on it to the point of never playing the thing at all. This sequel seems to address a LOT of the omissions.
I still remain concerned about the mechanics, janky power-up system and microtransactions up the wazoo.

I know we got a thread about the transactions, but I wanna post what I hate about the story...
I DON'T WANT TO PLAY FOR THE MOTHERf***ING REBELLION!!! I WANT TO PLAY AS THE EMPIRE/FIRST ORDER!!!
I hate how your group suddenly defects to the heroes because the good guys have to win.

Speaking of the story, it's a little disappointing how irrelevant the entire thing is to anything, save for maybe the thing at the end (and even then, the one thing isn't super important). There's twenty years between ROTJ and TFA; why couldn't we have gotten an actual story connecting everything? Why not something at least touching on the origins of Snoke, Kylo Ren, or The First Order as a whole? I don't recall even seeing anything about the start of the First Order until the very end unless I missed something, and even there it's a "Decades later" ploy.

Are these at all similar to the PS2 era Battlefronts? I loved the original Battlefront 2 so damn much.
