The Worm obviously, with all that hopping and sliding. The People's Elbow. A chop to the wind pipe wouldn't hurt?

Seriously? Ok; A regular powerbomb, kayfabe, has you slammed full power on to your entire back on the matt. The Apron bomb, kayfabe, Has you being slammed full power onto a small area of your spine onto the edge of the ring which could be easily argued is harder than the center of it. yeah in Kayfabe the edge of the ring being "The hardest part of the ring" as it's the area with the least give has been well established for years. Not even kayfabe. The edge of the ring is a bitch.

Well I used Kayfabe cause I wasn't entirely sure. I've never been in one. But even if it was bullshit it's one of those things that has been hyped up on commentary forever.

The edge is where all the support is, so there's absolutely no give, and a chance of connecting with the solid steel support beams. Ring aprons ain't nothing to f*** with. 😜

The figure eight? Or does the crab stand actually make a difference?

Any time they miss a move and its more devastating to them than if they hit their opponent, like the dropkick.
Or when they miss high flying moves such as a splash and flop around like fish.

Well, a splash I get since they don't have a person underneath to cushion the fall, but year, dropkicks are exactly the same.

The figure eight? Or does the crab stand actually make a difference? I can imagine that puts more pressure on the straight leg. And with dropkicks, I always took it as you're preparing to land one way, but missing it makes you land in a way you weren't ready for.

I guess if you were looking for a way to explain the dropkick thing you could go with: a) Adrenaline - when you hit the move, you're so pumped up that the impact with the ground doesn't affect you as much or b) When you hit the move your body is in such a position as to be ready for the impact on the ground (maybe you get your hands to the mat in time). When you miss it, it throws you off and you're not ready for the impact. They're both quite contrived explanations but...wrestling.

If you hit it, your feet make contact with your opponent, and you use that to push off him and land how you want. If you miss, you don't get that "spring" off of the opponent and you end up crashing awkwardly.

HBK "warming up the band." Stuff like that is to pop the crowd not that it makes the move hit harder. Not to mention moves with setup like that miss 9 times out of 10.

That makes a ton of sense. /quote]I'd also add The Rock punching someone a few times before spitting on his hand and then hitting them to finally get the knockdown. I guess the first few punches only move from his side and are supposed knock them loopy, and then he throws his hand with his arm completely outstretched for more momentum/damage, which is what knocks them off their feet. The spit thing is just for insult. What made me laugh was seeing the same armbar reversal in games like No Mercy, where the opponent just flips over a few times before reversing. I guess those flips help him gain his balance and untwist his arm, and perhaps if he was attacked, he might wrench their arm out the socket, but it was hilarious seeing someone like Big Show do the flip. I was surprised the opponents weren't dragged with him, as he was now holding their arm as he flips, not allowing them to escape.

Guys pulling down their knee pads before doing knee drops. The pad is to protect you, not your opponent's face. Even with a pad a solid knee will knock someone out.

Anytime someone does a dive off of a ladder that is laid on top of the ropes. It adds max 3 inches to the height of the dive and is way less stable.

i'm going to go with cameramen, whenever a wrestler does a slam or takes a big fall, acting like they have parkinson's while an earthquake (not John Tenta) occurs

Rusev doing the accolade with a chain.
Surely to god, cranking on someone's jaw, thus pulling their neck would hurt more than having your nose pushed to the side by a chain?
