sounds like we should change the title of this thread to reflect his new name... I mean he's only been hired anywhere because of Maria so... I guess it's a more truthful one

I've never seen the guy before and don't really know what to make of the whole act yet but was pretty amused by the promo tonight. I'm interested to see where it goes.
I like that they're doing something new with Maria and acknowledging that she used to be there without making the whole thing "hey, remember her?" And expecting people to do so. Looks like they learned from how mostly apathetic people have been about Mickie.

The entrance was pretty magical because it started up, I had no idea what the hell was going on, and then I realized who it was immediately before they popped up their names onscreen.

Oh man, my brother and I both howled and cackled with glee at that "Mike and Maria Kanellis" intro tonight. It was hilarious because just this week we had this discussion in the car (with my wife as well) about whether women should take the husband's name, or hyphenate, or keep maiden, and so on. I then crapped on the rare men that actually take their wives's last name. So seeing Mike Bennett tonight actually debut for WWE using his wife's last name was absolutely hysterical. I considered it when I got married because I'd of been Kevin Hart then and it'd be like "Office Space" with the Michael Bolton guy where he hates his name due to his counterpart. Lol

I loved the vibe of them being one of those new age married couples that runs retreats on how to better your marriage or become a better man. Him taking her last name, talking about the power of love and being partners, all such cheesy late night infomercial stuff.

I think it's great. But there's something there where I feel like it's a bit of a rib on the whole "Cody and Brandi Rhodes" thing.

First impression for them in WWE was good as they played off each other really well and played the cheesy factor to the max. The theme song is def one of those things that is going to work for them. I still don't like Maria as a promo with her delivery still being meh but she works better as a 2-3 min promo and Mike played his role very well As I said in the PPV thread, he def looks like he's off the "main event diet" he was on at the tale end of his TNA run.

It's a hell of a step up from the vague, "The Miracle!" concept and it at least gives Bennett a launching point for a personality and Maria something to do other than be bootleg Stephanie.

A cool theme that will likely get a very boring wrestler over? Sounds familiar... {Spoiler}

I enjoyed it. Always a big fan of Maria. I like the idea of a couple who are sickly in love with each other

It's all for naught if Mike and Maria don't have at least 7 separate segments to themselves every single Tuesday. The more the better, probably.

The legal stuff over the Broken gimmick.
