After watching Better Off Dead I realized that this used to be a trend of sorts during the late 80's/early 90's. A lot of comedies (Surprisingly more PG films than kids movies usually) would open with an animated intro. And in a lot of cases, it was usually the best part of the movie itself. Any you remember that you liked?
A couple notable examples:
Honey, I Shrunk The Kids
Who's That Girl
Loverboy

You can go back even further with the Pink Panther films and It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World, and that moon movie MST3K did.

I love Better Off Dead!
I'm pretty sure One Crazy Summer, another Cusack film (not as good), has an animated intro too.

Juno: Which was rotoscoped in a stylized hand drawn manner. Which is coincidentally the only part of that film I really remember.

i'd say hellboy 2, but that's more of an animated prologue to the film
