The newer documentaries are added at least 6 months after they've been released on home video. I just wish some of the older documentaries were there too.

I don't buy BluRays because I don't have an upgraded TV, but I still get WrestleMania & some DVDs if it interests me. I usually make my family buy them for me for Christmas or if there is a really good sale on WWEShop & I feel like spending money.

I don't buy any of the ppvs or docs, but I do try to get the unreleased ones because most of those matches aren't on the network.

Yes. DVD and Blu-Ray have extra stuff that is not on The Network.

The network is only a 30 fps stream. The blu-rays and cable/satellite broadcasts are 60 fps. This a huge difference.

Yes I know that, but there are still some that are missing.

Yes I know that, but there are still some that are missing. On top of that, newer ones like the Scott Hall and Eric Bischoff docs as well as the 2011 WrestleMania doc have had content removed on the Network edits. You have to buy the DVD or Blu-ray to see them in their entirety.

The difference is super noticeable. I compared WM24 on BR to the Network feed, and wow....not saying it looks bad on the Network, but it makes you wish we had better connections at large to warrant them adjusting The Network to run consistently at a higher bitrate and at 60fps.
I have not bought as many BRs since the launch, I admit, but I was a big cherry picker anyway. I was going to get Seth's until I learned they only released it in SD (STUPID! - his ENTIRE WWE career was shot in HD!). It's boneheaded since they're coming out with that Dawn of the Attitude BR, which is focused entirely on 1997 with the only high-def content being the doc interview segments. All the actual footage from then was way before they shot in HD.

It's boneheaded since they're coming out with that Dawn of the Attitude BR, which is focused entirely on 1997 with the only high-def content being the doc interview segments. All the actual footage from then was way before they shot in HD. The quality that was captured by the television cameras of the time exceeded what you would see on a DVD. I used to watch wrestling on a 8' C-band satellite dish. That kind of receiver gets what is a near lossless stream of the video feed from the TV camera itself. Going by a little bit of research I've done that was about 40 megabits per second. My family had a nice television connected through s-video at the time and the image was absolutely crystal clear when watching wrestling. I've never seen it look that good in any latter releases such as the DVDs or Dish Network/DirecTV/Cable broadcasts. My hope is a blu-ray release will come closer to that quality I saw years ago.
