I've been thinking a lot lately about things like Netflix and the WWE network, etc. and how you can get most anything you want to watch or experience without cable. But that's got to add up.
Some have things like the network (I do) and still have a monthly cable:satellite bill to boot
I even read where adult stars are charging 12-20 dollars for racy content on twitter
There's even non viewing type stuff like loot crate
So, what kinda of things do you subscribe to, and has it taken the place of other forms of entertainment for you? Are we living in an age of several monthly fees vs one or two big bills?

WWE Network
MLB TV, which I paid for up front for the whole season. Interesting story about that: I had been watching the free game of the day because I had always wanted to try the service out, but wasn't sure if I would use it enough to make the financial commitment. MLB must have gotten sick of me mooching off them for nothing, because I received an email from them offering me a subscription.
For half off.
So instead of $112.99, I only paid $56.49. For the whole season, remember. Yeah the blackout restrictions suck, but the offer was simply too good to pass up.

Spotify, Netflix and that Amazon thing which doesn't work anywhere but on my computer.
And for non entertainment I subscribe to a VPN, source code repository, Adobe Creative Cloud and cloud based file sharing thing.

You're essentially paying a little over $9 a month for a few hundred games. Not to mention MLB is the gold standard of live streaming. You're getting a premium service, but not paying a premium price.

Nothing much anymore. There is too much free stuff available to keep me occupied in my free time. I see podcasts charging for exclusive content when I have a hard enough time keeping up with listening to all the free ones. I don't need to pay for more content. I had WWE 24/7 when it was an OnDemand channel. I had Howard TV back then too. There wasn't much content on either one but I was able to keep up with them. I found myself watching less and less of them and before I could cancel they both ended up shutting down anyway. I haven't subscribed to anything else since.

Pretty much just satellite & I buy the Network card every 3 months.
Anything else, I can just pick up a card for those too.

I've a Netflix subscription but I've a few people piggy-backing of me so it's the most expensive one with multiple profiles.
Also have the Patreons I contribute to. I've a monthly one set up for OSW Review and a 'per creation' pledge for the other two so they're less regular than monthly.

Netflix, Funimation, presently Vue, sometimes Amazon though not presently, year for PSN, and I have a Patreon I contribute to. WWE Network I only get up when there's a show I want to see since I really only use it for PPVs.

- Netflix - New Japan World - Hulu, which is awesome since it has a better selection of older shows than Netflix or Amazon Prime (f*** them all for not having A-Team or Magnum PI, though...).
I used to have WWE Network, but my father-in-law may or may not have given me his password for his account since he "rarely uses it but doesn't want to get rid of it". This is ideal because now I don't have to give the McMahon family any money, so we all win.
I also have these yearly subscriptions:
- Amazon Prime - Playstation Plus
