Music-once the iPod came out I haven't bought a cd.2002 would probably be the last time I bought one.I stream music all the time. games-I buy way less then when I was younger and I usually get the physical copy. Books-When the kindle came out I bought all my books digitally because it was cheaper and saved so much space but in the last couple years I'm finding it much cheaper to buy actual books plus I get them sooner. Dvd & Bluray-Way less I get all the pwg shows on Bluray and I get a couple wwe blurays but that's it.

I'm a collector who deliberately cultivates a librarian aesthetic in his living space so yeah I prefer physical media.

I do watch most television shows and newer movies through my OnDemand service but I'm still picking up Blu Rays if it's a movie or a wrestling show that I want to own.

Not really (outside of possibly music), as I don't really buy a lot of entertainment related stuff.
As for music, I haven't bought any CDs in several years (I got rid of my cassette collection back in 2006) and I mostly use Youtube for music (I have several playlists on my channel).

If I want to buy something I make sure it's physical copy. If it's free i'll take digital. And online availability really just changes the things I want. I but less movies because on demand and streaming sites carry just about everything.

If you buy a CD from amazon they give you a digital copy as well. Basically a two for one sale every time. That's where my new music comes from.
Since we got a turntable, the wife and I have started amassing quite a few albums. Gotta love the nostalgia.

I strongly prefer physical media -- my movie collection of 500+, a few books, older generations of video games all physical

The DVD/Blu-ray films always have more features than the digital version. And that's the way it should be. In fact the physical version often includes download code for digital as well. Literally the best of all worlds. I love my deleted scenes and commentary for the Simpsons
Ditto with physical GOTY editions of physical games. At least it should be, I feel.
And don't most CDs also come with physical inlet as well? Although the market is definitely dying there for physical media.

I #@$@#%^ hate staring at a screen and carrying around an expensive electronic device is I want to read when I commute or am waiting outside of my home. I also hate DRM or any other kind of artificial restrictions on how and when I can use something I paid for. Having said that, I never liked ebooks in the past, and I still don't like them. I doubt I will ever like them.
Although I like having physical copies of games, I've learned how impractical it is to have this medium if you're like me and can't lug your games around when you travel. Thankfully, the games I bought physical copies of (Duke Nukem Forever, FEAR 3, etc) can be downloaded off of Steam any time I need to install them and don't have access to my discs.

After living about 5/6 months without internet, I'd say it has changed. I have MORE appreciation for physical media.

Too bad they stopped making Simpsons DVDs because of "pirating" and not at all because they launched a US only app.

I've gone pretty much 100% digital when it comes to books, but that's because I have a job where I can listen to headphones like six hours straight. Audiobooks are the shit.

Yeah, at least with video games. GOG.com and Steam are just so damn convenient.

With music easily. It is so much easier to carry around an mp3 with 6k songs than one of those giant binders full of CDs and safer while driving too. Also not having all the cases and discs around to collect dust and debris is a nice bonus.
All this is thanks to finally having speeds fast enough to get an album in an 15 minutes to an hour and why I stick to physical copies of what few games I play and movies I buy. It is just not worth having to wait a full day or more to download something in HD (and that is having no use of the internet while downloading as well) when I can drive to the store and get it in an hour or order it off Amazon and have it same or next day delivery.

The nearest Gamestop is like half an hour from here and the nearest Books a Million is like an hour and a half so yeah, unless I can find something much cheaper on Amazon or eBay and am not in a hurry to get it I usually go digital on those.
