He gave Undertaker his first real good match at Wrestlemania.

Yeah yeah, lowest drawing champ limited moves all that. Well in 1994-late 1995 I was 16 years old, and that motherf***er was badass. All hail Big Daddy Cool. I ain't even kidding either. I love(d) that reign. His reign was fine until HBK turned face and suddenly he was wrestling Mabel and Sid. Nash/Bam Bam should have been a PPV match, as their Raw encounter was pretty good from what I remember.

I'll probably catch shit for this, but I honestly find Nash somewhat underrated. He wasn't some awesome master of technical wrestling, but when he was in there with good opponents, he more than carried his own.

Diesel's matches with Bret Hart were thrilling as hell to ten year old me.
He wasn't ever my #1 favorite, but I thought he was cool. I was an HBK mark, so Nash would be elevated for me by default. "Man, Shawn knows how to pick 'em."

I'm wearing a black glove as I type this. Big Daddy Cool was awesome. How long did it take him to win the triple crown? 8 months or so?

Diesel after Survivors Series 1995 was all kinds of awesome. Great character with a logical reason to go tweener.
I wasn't a huge fan of his face title run, but that wasn't entirely his fault. The WWF was in a rut by that point. I thought Shawn the following year had much better opponents.

Another HBK match, matches with Bam Bam and a one off face vs face with Razor would have made hie reign 10 times better

In my top 10 favorites of all time. I'll never forget the night he drew 60,000 to the Garden for his title match with Backlund. But the Garden doesn't hold 60,000 people...

Diesel was the original wank pheasant. He was a wank pheasant before the term "wank pheasant" was even formed.

He was ok if he was in the ring with Bret or Shawn.

Diesel and Razor were right before my time watching (March of 1997). But him, Razor, Michaels, Bret, Owen, and many other main stars of the New Gen era were my main draw to old VHS tapes I'd rent from the video store. I LOVED Diesel/Razor.

But the Garden doesn't hold 60,000 people... It did that night! QFT. I was there and man did the place go apeshit when he jackknifed Sir Bob.

The worst thing about his WWF title run was his lack of credible challengers. That's honestly it. The addition of monthly PPVs was okay, but it came at a time when you have a powerhouse as champion and not a wide variety of guys that are on his level. I honestly think that was why they did the whole Dudes With Attitudes simply because the routine was tiring by this point. Quite simply put, with the exception of about 10 or so guys, everyone else had a goofy or stupid gimmick that wasn't main event material. It's too bad Vader didn't join WWF a bit earlier. He would've been a great opponent for Diesel. Foley too.

Bret aside, he had weak as hell challengers. Didn't they stick him in a tag team feud with Bam Bam and Tatanka?

He would've been a great opponent for Diesel. Foley too. Yeah, he missed out on some great feuds by about a year or so. He never really had a chance. He had the run-in filled shmozz with Bret, a very good match with HBK at 'Mania and from there on out, it was hot garbage for challengers. You could argue that Sid wasn't a *terrible* choice, but that's probably the high water mark for Diesel's opponents other than the aforementioned 2 guys.

His Mania match v Taker is an underrated match that I enjoy.
Other than that I was a bit 'meh' on him. Never struck me as a great in-ring talent, and the tag-team with Shawn was a bit goofy and embarrassing.
In saying that, I understand why peopple would be drawn to him. Good look etc, just not my cup of tea

Nash lives and dies by his personality, so sticking him with an act that was just not him for much of his face run was a bad idea. That said, he excels when he gets to ooze that, "You know what, f*** you, pay me" vibe that makes him more believable as a character.
