What's the first music video you remember seeing? For me it would either be Kenny Loggins' Footloose (on an episode of Kidd Video) or Billy Idol's Rebel Yell (also, the first time I saw MTV).

Video killed the Radio star by the Buggles,was at a cousin's house the day MTV hit the air. Wasn't until late 1990 that cable came out to where I lived.

My grandfather used to watch nothing but CMT when they played wall-to-wall videos, so a lot of country videos initially pop into my mind. The first video I remember seeing on MTV was 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and it blew my f***ing mind. I was around 7 or 8 when I first watched it and didn't know what to think. That video and hearing Metallica's "One" the first time were huge life-changing moments for me, as hyperbolic as that sounds.

Thriller. I was a kid and Michael turning into a werewolf scared me deeply. I remember being so scared to go to bed that I would cry because I was afraid werewolf Michael and the zombies were going to get me.

Didn't have cable for a good while as a youth. My mom's BF came over one day with a VHS tape SLP full of videos from MTV. This is the first video on that tape and thus, the first video I've ever seen....

Something obscure - the first one I remember making an impression is 'It Ain't What You Do, It's The Way That You Do It' by Bananarama and Fun Boy Three.
