One thing I wanna ask here as I'm confused, you're ordering your coffee with sugar and cream put in it for you? Pretty standard you get a cup here black, add your own cream and sugar from the table. That is what I love about Dunkin, they do that for me

Yes. They put it in for you. Except Starbucks. Where even ordering coffee gets you a bewildered glare and exasperated sigh.

Double double = four syllables
Two cream, two sugar = five syllables.
Sumbitch, we've been doing it all wrong. Imagine the syllables we could've saved!

I asked for a Double Double, and they gave me the Double Double Double Double.
I see the joke was already done. I'm still leaving this up because screw it, it's hilarious.

Yeah double double is a burger term here. Never knew Candians applied it to coffee until now. That just sounds so bizarre to this Canadian's ear. Even my wife, who was born and raised just across the border in Buffalo, NY, didn't know it had anything to do with burgers either. In Buffalo we do order coffee that way, but then there's a Tim Hortons on practically every corner here so that's probably why.

In Buffalo we do order coffee that way, but then there's a Tim Hortons on practically every corner here so that's probably why. I particularly love the Sabres-themed one they recently built down by the Harbor. That place feels more Canadian than any Tim Hortons I've been to in my own country. One thing I wanna ask here as I'm confused, you're ordering your coffee with sugar and cream put in it for you? Pretty standard you get a cup here black, add your own cream and sugar from the table. Years ago, a woman from (I believe) Detroit walked into our local Tim Hortons, ordered a coffee, and, upon receiving it, started SCREAMING profanities at an employee because they put their sugar and cream in for her. Screaming about how stupid we were and how we're lucky we lived right next door to the US, otherwise we never would've survived this long. And until this thread, I never knew that it was more common to do it yourself in the US. So her being upset makes slightly more sense now, but she was still a total bitch.

I have never heard for anyone ask for 2 milks/cream/halfandhalfs... I've heard people just say Milk/cream/half and half

There are no In n Out Burgers anywhere near here, yet I still thought "in America, this sounds like a name we'd give a burger."

Like ordering 2 cream and 2 sugar is just so long winded and lame. I don't have the time to recite a play for you. Why don't you call it a Double Double or a Triple Triple for the adventurous. Also has anyone ever ordered the Wayne Gretzky before the 99, 9 cream 9 sugar? I prefer referring to the Triple Triple as "the Diabetic Coma".

Starbucks you have to do it yourself, same with any eat in diner type place but at Timmie's or any other fast food place they do it for you.

Also worth pointing out Tim Horton's has a gimmick for the employees to dispense the sugar and cream. They press the button and it gives them a measured amount. It's not like they're f***ing around with packets or sugar bowls back there.
