I remember once reading about somewhere that discovered they didn't have a law against sex with an animal seeing as they didn't think they'd have to, so they instead charged the guy with statutory seeing as the animal was clearly under 18 years old.

I can't believe it's legal there but the article says it is , since the 70s ? Yeah that's the craziest thing, that must mean it was previously illegal but they made the effort to change the law. Maybe after the result of a campaign? |

In another case 2 boys in Sweden was busted with a horse (in Sweden that's called breaking the animal protection law) I don't know about Finland, but IIRC in Sweden there used to be a law against sex with animals and gay sex. Then in the 1940s the lawmakers wanted to allow for gay sex, so they simply removed that law completely, but apparently felt that writing a new, separate animal-specific law was too much effort and just left it like that. |

That reminds of a news article that a mate sent me a few years ago about how a man in some African village was forced to marry a goat and then pay its owner a dowry after he was caught having sex with it. Also I cant help but laugh after finding out that quite a few European countries have only now recently made bestiality illegal. |
