So, you're essentially trying to defend THIS then Yeah that stuff is messed up, but instead of removing that stuff or pulling ads, they should concentrate on age restriction. Make it harder to create an 18+ Account. As weird as that stuff is, it should still be allowed to access and watch. If you read about the other demonitized areas on youtube, you would see that this is just another step of becoming family friendly exclusive. Youtube should be a place for every legal kind of artform. There are other solutions to stop letting kids watch these, there is also real porn on the internet you know? Should we ban that aswell? If you notice, they all try advertising to kids, in spite of their content. Look at the channel names. It's one thing to be satirical, it's another to ape Family Guy/South Park humor and sell it to young viewers. And that's my beef.

These videos are weird as f*** for sure, but I don't care if people want to post them as long as they're not breaking any content rules. But you can't expect advertisers, businesses with PR concerns, to be accepting of your stuff and then claim YouTube is stifling your creative freedom. Don't get me wrong, there's definitely issues with advertisers on YouTube, but this isn't one of them, imo.

The problem is that they are OBVIOUSLY marketing to the kids, when it is not. Youtube has no rating system besides 18+ The problem is parents that plot thier kids infront of a tablet and let them watch a video, after video either on autoplay or on recommended. All roads lead that way. Just like no matter what style of music I listen to, even on a clean youtube history, it ends up in a random place after a few hours.

okay then now explain THIS "The video giant also clarified that videos deemed “hateful” — material already banned under YouTube’s community guidelines — will not be eligible for advertising. YouTube describes that category as content “that promotes discrimination or disparages or humiliates an individual or group of people on the basis of the individual’s or group’s race, ethnicity, or ethnic origin, nationality, religion, disability, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other characteristic associated with systematic discrimination or marginalization.” In practice, this policy has been adopted simply to undermine and wipe out New Media, who are becoming a threat to the established corporate media.

Doesn't mean there is a problem on getting these misleading promotions down. Besides kids LOOK for stuff thenselves too,and there is no problems in that.
