I don't even get what the appeal of this is supposed to be. Since this is a boxing match everyone knows McGregor has zero shot here.

The spectacle of it all is the appeal.

All the promos before the fight, seeing who comes out on either side, all the hype. This is not really a boxing match as much as its a pro wrestling match at this point. And honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the fight was worked to some degree

Conor's cardio is so poor I don't even see him getting outpointed. I see a finish coming in the 6th or 7th round. You also forgot to mention  people who never pay attention to boxing regularly chiming in with strong, ill-informed opinions in the list of things that will happen. Get ready to hear how "Mayweather isn't even that good" along with a healthy dose unreal Conor fanboyism.

Saying that, as much as I did not want this fight to happen, I would like to see Conor win because I do not like Floyd whatsoever. Though what that would mean for the entire sport of boxing, who knows.

Excited for the spectacle! The big winner of this is HBO.

Showtime will definitely benefit from having this fight, but HBO can control the narrative afterwards to boost sales for GGG and Canelo. If the Mayweather McGregor fight is good, boxing will be "back", if this fight sucks (which it will) HBO can slam this sideshow and promote a real boxing match in September.

I'm all aboard. I know many people are annoyed by Conor's antics but as a super casual MMA follower and a guy who never gave a shit about boxing to begin with, I enjoy following along with Conor's bullshit. He's very amusing.

Depends. You get a lot of MMA fans to crossover and boxing fans usually turn out in decent numbers. Because of the hype I think it can come close but probably won't surpass it.

Also depends on how sick people are of Floyd. His "final" fight with Berto did not do plus numbers

Conor McGregor was an amateur boxer before being an mma fighter. That happened when Conor was a teenager. Conor never turned pro as a boxer.

Now Conor is fighting the greatest boxer of all time.

This fight is a disgrace. Everybody in the vegas comission deserves to be jailed. It won't be a fight. Facts are facts. Amateur scrubs are one thing and the best boxer in history is another. If Conor gets hurt its on the comission.

Conor has never fought 12 f***ing rounds. We have seen him gas out against Diaz in both fights. He has no chance. Floyd never gasses out.

Canelo can't knock or even touch Floyd out but Conor will? Get the f*** out.

Yea this fight will not be competitive in the slightest. At best it will be fun because of the spectacle around it but that's pretty much it. Floyd goes 50-0 and never fights again and Connor gets his massive payday and says f*** you to Dana White and the UFC.
