I hate the whole "It's all in X's mind" fan theory that seems to come from every single show. It's one of the laziest "theories" ever.

It was about Marcel the monkey, but the actors got jealous and kicked him off the show.

My theory for every show/film is it was all in somebody's mind while they was dreaming whilst being in a mental institution whilst they was dead (whilst possibly on drugs).

I hate the whole "It's all in X's mind" fan theory that seems to come from every single show. It's one of the laziest "theories" ever. I hate this, too, because it is the easiest theory to defend, because any and all evidence just comes to "well, they could imagine that, too." Angelica's idea of the babies, even in episodes or events she's barely present for! Because, uhh, she just thought about all that stuff happening to the babies or adults while doing her thing. Squall's perfect life/world, in spite of all the shit happening he wouldn't want, because uhh, he wants to be a hero, so there!! It's as useful as "a wizard did it", because you could apply it to virtually any show or property, and you can't really argue for or against it very much because any and all evidence can be twisted towards it with little effort or creativity needed.

I hate the whole fan theory. there. its more accurate. i hate fan theories. i have yet to read or hear one that wasn't completely stupid. "I got a great idea to explain somewhat that's either already been explained, or it hasn't because it was so major it was intentionally left vague or so minor no one gives a shit. All you gotta do is add a bunch of shit that doesn't happen, and ignore a bunch of stuff that does, and through mental gymnastics it makes total superduper sense!" the stupidest one i've ever heard, which thanks to the god awful HelloGiggles was posted in Yahoo's news feed as news, is that, in Harry Potter, Hermione's cat...used to belong to Potters! take a minute, pick up your jaw. i know its shocking news, but wait til you hear the evidence. Exhibit A) Hermione has a cat. Exhibit B) in the books, it is stated that when Harry was a baby, his parents had a cat. ergo, Hermione's cat must be that Potter's cat because, in the Harry Potter universe as well as real life, cats are the rarest of rare animals and there's no way in hell two people could have two different cats.

I don't mind fan theories, as long as they are fun and somewhat plausible. But pseudo "dark" theories "It was a hallucination/all in their head!" "They're all dead, this is taking place in a hell dimension!" are uncreative and add no entertainment value. They're reaching for the sake of reaching, all for silly edginess points.

Fan theories almost universally require you to ignore things that happened in universe because reasons.

I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it again: The only fan theories I subscribe to are the Pixar Theory, the Jar Jar Binks Theory and the Marge Shot Mr. Burns Theory. Check them out if you haven't.

That fan theory is actually more realistic than the other five characters actually being friends with Phoebe.
One of the worst and more grating TV characters ever, IMO.

I miss when fan theories were actually creative and didn't use the shitty "in a coma" or "everything was in their head" stories.

I don't go into threads for TV shows meant for true blue fans that I know I don't like or whatever because I hate it when people feel compelled to drop in and p*** all over those intended appreciation threads that I'm a fan of. That being said, I never intended to come into this one and overlooked it until this moment by sheer accident. Click on the link because I'm tired and whimsical and ... My gosh! I love that! I utterly despise that show, but this notion works so well! I laughed out loud at the idea of Monica and Rachel asking who that creep in the window is. It's dark, funny, extremely sad, and fitting all at the same time. Many kudos for giving me a way to see the show in a new light. I'm kinda marking out right now actually.

The others had no reason to associate with her . Also if the character didnt exist , literally nothing would change with the other 5

Also if the character didnt exist , literally nothing would change with the other 5 and a lot of conflicts that would take part in an episode was caused by her. An entire B plot of one episode revolved around her being mad at Ross, then at the end of the episode we find out Ross pissed her off in her dream.

Over the last few weeks I've become obsessed with Friends again for the first time since I was a kid...and that ending would of been terrible.
It makes sense...but good God, what a downer to such a funny show. And I disagree with the consensus that their Series Finale was one of the best Finales but that "theory" ending would of depressed/angered just about everyone.

All the women in the show and Ross in later series were horrible people, Agreed with Phoebe, but how anyone could tolerate Monica Gellar in the later series of it

The episode where she thought a cat had the spirit of her mother (I think or grandmother) was one of the stupidest thing ive ever seen on television
