Sandlot: Cause I can never had a summer that seems as half as amazing as just going to a sandlot and playing baseball all day nor can I go back in time to my childhood and try.
King Kong (2005): Cause I was supposed to see it with this co worker who we both liked each other and never got around to it and somehow we never got together for reasons that I've never really put 100 percent a finger on so I need a symbol of that for conversation.
Dan in Real Life: "Hey I like this Steve Caroll guy from the Daily Show, Office and 40 year old Virgin. OMG THIS IS THE MOST DULL MOVIE EVER. How could you lie to me movie poster"

The Force Awakens-the Death Star didn't work twice already what was making it bigger supposed to accomplish? To be fair, they destroyed 5 planets with the Starkiller Base and the Death Star itself would've worked had there not been that intentional flaw.

It bugged me that the big reveal/shock twist at the end was copied from this movie, made twenty years earlier...

It's been a long time since I've read any of the old EU books, but as I recall almost all the superweapons were undone by the actions of the people controlling them rather than attack or sabotage from the protagonists. In short, superweapons = good idea, as long as nobody from the Empire is involved.

Heavyweights: Sure Tony Perkis always had alterior motives with his informercial, but he wasn't originally looking to make enemies with the children. He was going to help them lose weight, but the kids were stubborn and never gave him a fair chance. He didn't turn on them until he found deli meat and the arrogant Seymour Butts incident.

The Shining... *dodges thrown trash* let me explain. The original story is my favorite book of all time. The characters feel fleshed out, the scares are subtle and intimate, and unlike most Stephen King books it doesn't sour as you get to the end. My problem with the movie is that it takes one of my favorite characters and doesn't really do him justice. Jack Torrance, while this abusive alcoholic, is such a great character. In the book he tries to make up for past mistakes, genuinely happy with his family for the first time in years, and when he finally goes insane it's after hundreds of pages of subtle pushing that got him there. In the movie I felt like the character he is at the beginning acted more like he is half way through the book. He was already snappy at his family and Nickleson played him half insane (or that could be because Nickleson always plays his characters like that lol). I have a lot more complaints about the movie but those are better served for a future essay for school lol.

To be fair the first Death Star also blew up a planet full of Space-Hippies that held a lot of governmental sway. Sure they overpaid in money/manpower/materials (probably) to make it happen. But it was not at all a total failure. I can't stand "The Purge" movies based off the simple fact that 3 of my friends keep saying "it's going to happen like that" in a completely serious manner.

Spider Man 3: Harry's butler and his reveal... "Harry..., so that whole hating Spider Man thing you've been obsessing over, the hideous facial injury you now have and the complete mindf*** you've been though? I probably should have mentioned that it totally wasn't Spider Man that killed your father. He died via his own weapon..... my bad...."

OT, but Tony Perkis IS indeed White Goodman, right? Has this ever been established or confirmed?

Borat: Everyone and their mother quoting it. Also, while I find it funny, I don't think it was anything awesome. This belief is met with "Well, then you just don't get it". No, I get it....it's just not THAT funny

Prisoner Of Azkaban is a decent adaptation of the book, but couldn't they have cut the pointless Knight Bus bit a bit so they had space to actually mention who created the Marauder's Map, a fairly crucial plot point?
