Be better if they did it themselves then what ever company they give it to

So what classic do we see next GB or 64? Seems like the worst-kept secret in the world that the GB is next. Nintendo have filed the trademark application for GB Classic, and the N64 Classic will probably need a lot of legal wrangling, since a good chunk of its best games would need license renewals. The controllers would need adjusting too, perhaps having the Rumble Pak built in, since the controller port would otherwise be redundant. Also to make it worthwhile they'd have to up the storage capacity, since N64 games can be upto 10-15 times larger than an average SNES game. Be better if they did it themselves then what ever company they give it to Just rescind the license from that company and give it to Nintendo. They'll sell a ton more and the quality will be top notch.

Hey so, it says to unplug it when not in use. Is that a hard rule or a soft rule?

Hey so, it says to unplug it when not in use. Is that a hard rule or a soft rule? I had it plugged in for a while and had no issues.

Hey so, it says to unplug it when not in use. Is that a hard rule or a soft rule? It's a generic warning a lot of electrical devices use to cover them from any possible legal issues and in case of the very rare event of a power surge.

The SNES had a lot of classic games that I think aged really well. A lot of these games aren't even games I particularly enjoyed in my childhood and only experienced them for the first time as an older teenager or in my 20's. And they hold up incredibly well.
Like my first real Zelda game was Ocarina of Time and my first real Final Fantasy game was FF7, but I think Link to the Past is my favorite Zelda game by far and Super Famicom/SNES trilogy of FFIV, V, and VI are my favorites in that series, all of which I played years after their original releases (and FF5 didn't even come out here until years after its original release on the PS1). Super Castlevania IV is my third or so favorite in the classic series after Rondo of Blood and CV3. Super Metroid is one of the best games ever made IMO.
Getting the NES Classic would do a lot to satisfy my nostalgia for 8-bit games, but I want the SNES Classic because those are, IMO, some of the best, most timeless games ever created. And playing them on a HDTV with more accurate emulation along with a near-authentic controller is a big plus, too.

With the NES Classic Release I do wonder if they would mess with the lineup of games

I miraculously managed to stumble across one in stock at Walmart last night and picked it up.

Most likely they'll go with Gameboy. As is, N64 probably won't cost less than $100 and trying to make it look halfway decent on an HDTV would be a challenge in and of itself. What if they add online multiplayer? They promised such a feature for some Virtual Console games on the Switch. So it would be a nice small scale test run, maybe limited to just a few of the games like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. They’ll be printing money with those things.

That overly complicates what the Mini Classics are - plug-and-play devices that are cheap and simple to make. The actual hardware inside both the NES Classic and SNES Classic is identical, so I don't expect Nintendo to go to the hassle and expense of redesigning it to add a wireless adapter and having a server for the multiplayer. That would bump the retail price right up.

I recently bought this from eBay for around $120 shipped brand new. I wanted to hold out and wait until I found one in the stores for $80, but where I live there's only one store (Target) that even has a spot for it on the shelves which is ALWAYS empty. I asked at Wal-Marts, Best Buys, etc. for it and every one of them said they never know if they'll be coming in. Whatever, my gf and I enjoy the heck out of it and for an extra $45 or so it's still worth it!

When I got mine the other day the cashier even remarked on how lucky I was. Assume the only reason I even got it is it wasn't very prominently displayed.

I found one in Wal-Mart two weeks ago that the guy at the register was trying to hide till he went on break to buy it. I was looking at the Switch thinking about buying it, and I just happened to see it barely visible behind 3 Switch consoles. Needless to say the guy was pissed when I bought it....

That's kinda how I was when I got mine. Granted, I didn't hide the systems or anything... but I just hoped there'd still be one available when I took my first break and luckily there was. Was probably the most nerve-wracking couple hours until I was able to do that.

Actually it's not too bad a platformer.
