My local CEX can't get rid of them fast enough. I'd get one for the "I'm too lazy to make one myself" aspect, but the steam sale is like a week away

I can't help but get the feeling that outside of North America and Japan that Nintendo have grossly overestimated the demand of the SNES classic as it seems that every EB games and JB Hi-Fi I've been to can't get rid of the bloody things.
my brother got a Mega Drive Flashback and wow what a piece of shit.

That would be AT Games.I got their portable Genesis a few years ago. Besides the sound being a tiny bit off I found nothing else wrong with it. With an SD card I got easy access to 80% of the Genesis library. And it takes up very little space in my travel bag.

I've never seen one in the wild The only time I did was when I got mine a couple weeks ago. It was the only one in stock and even the clerk was surprised to see it.

I got mine a few days ago for the first night of Hanukkah. It was a pleasant surprise.
Something neat I noticed is that the Wii Classic controller will work on the SNES classic. Same controller ports and the Wii classic controller is basically a more ergonomic SNES controller anyway.

Lol I was totally paranoid about it too but the most common way to do it (At least I think it’s the most common, popped up all the time when I looked into it) is genuinely very simple and how else is a man gonna play Shaq Fu?

the software to do it with literally wont allow you to proceed until you back your stuff up, its pretty impossible to brick. A few games wont run but it just quits back to the menu

Yeah, whatever third party Sega has for those systems is garbage. Yeah you would figure that after the success of the NES classic that Sega would of realized that all these 3rd party monstrosities just weren't going to cut it. That and I feel bad for my brother as he spent $160NZ on the bloody thing.
