The AtGames Genesis consoles are all absolute shit. The sound is always questionable and they never fix it. From what I've seen of serious Genesis fans who have more disposable income than I do, just throw the money down on a working JVC X'Eye and start accumulating real games. Just make sure you've got $500 US free for a cart-only copy of MUSHA. You'll want one. And if you want a portable genesis, get a Nomad and a screen/battery mod for it too.

Just be aware that since it's based off of a Model 2, it can't play Hellfire properly. The Sound will play at half speed.

On another note I played that Handheld Sega one. If you grew up with the Genesis like I did you can tell the sound is off

Finally found one of these local and retail.
Trying to decide if it's worth trying to add anything to it or not (since I'd really rather not replace CANOE with RetroArch, that feels like defeating the purpose).

So...if anyone in the US here is still looking for one and doesn't mind paying a shipping fee, let me know.

Since getting my SNES Classic, I've playing through FF6 as it was a game I dropped halfway through about a decade ago. I finish the battles in the sky with Ultros and the machines, and I land two tiles next to the save point. Of course I get a Behemoth right before reaching a save point that just crushes me, and I'm stuck all the back just past the Ultros/Relm Sketch fight.
I'm pretty sure this is the exact reason I dropped FF6 on my first playthrough too.

The last couple times I've tried playing through the GBA version, I keep ending up giving up right around the time you get the Falcon airship. I take a break for 2 weeks then forget what I still had left to do.

For me the one previous time I've tried to play Final Fantasy 6 on the Wii I dropped it when I got to the point where you're having to manage a bunch of Moogles at once. Ever since kind of meant to give the name another shot but made zero moves toward actually doing so.

Has Nintendo handled the release of the SNES Classic better than the NES Classic? Which do you people like better?

Has Nintendo handled the release of the SNES Classic better than the NES Classic? Oh absolutely. Nintendo were true to their word about meeting demand this time around. Units can still be found on the shelves yet the SNES Classic has sold more units than the NES Classic, and outsold both the Xbox One and PS4 over the holidays. It certainly bodes well for future Classic releases.

Has Nintendo handled the release of the SNES Classic better than the NES Classic? Which do you people like better? Well, at this moment in time I can go out and buy a SNES Classic if I wanted to for not-almost-double-the-cost prices. So yeah, they did a better job here.

I managed to snag one at retail price + GameStop’s ludicrous shipping charges, but I didn’t have to pay some scumbag on Ebay double either.
Thank goodness for NowInStock.com.
