So I see that the Fire Emblem game is Japan exclusive. Why not include that as an extra initiative for Western audiences? I know translating can be a bitch, but the more rarities included, the more I would think people would get on board. I'm guessing cost. The NES Mini ran at a loss so hiring a team to do translation and QA for something that's already on a tight budget, if not already losing money, would either increase the cost to where people aren't willing to buy or lose more money.

I do think that a Famicom Mini as an international release would be awesome. Super Mario Bros 2, Mother, Holy Diver, Devil World, Final Fantasy 2 and 3, Moon Crystal, Mappy, Nemesis, Dig Dug, Sweet Home, Fire Emblem, etc etc. I know that's a pipe dream, but hey...gotta hope for something!

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not interested but my friend's been going on about how much he wants one and he was able to snatch one of these right away.

Phew. Pre-ordered one. I'd rather have one through Amazon due to faster shipping, but no way in hell am I holding out for that. Gotta love how these pre-orders went live at f***ing 11:45 PM EST on a Friday night.

Having never pre-ordered from WalMart, do you have to pay up front or not until the item is released?

Thanks. I can always cancel this if Amazon ever does any, but it's good to just have one.

Having never pre-ordered from WalMart, do you have to pay up front or not until the item is released? You have to pay upfront in this situation. If it were a larger order (usually over $100), you should have the option to pay in store. I've worked at Walmart for just under 6 years now, so I do know what's going on.

I've never heard of anyone doing this, but leave it to Wal-Mart to pull this. I plan on cancelling if I can catch an Amazon pre-order whenever that goes live. Hopefully getting a refund isn't a headache.
