Maxine literally pitched the angle with Teddy Long that went to Aksana, which she would have been much better at. To then add insult to injury, they told Maxine she had to change her look because she looked too similar to the makeover they had given Aksana for the gimmick, and then asked Maxine to help Aksana with her promos!

Enzo and Cass should have won the NXT tag titles instead of the Vaudevillians.

Bo Dallas should have been managed by Bob Backlund and NOT Darren Young Bo Dallas was and is a former NXT Champion that fell off hard, and the "Make Bo Great Again!" line works way better with him than with Darren who was never really that great... And he has way more of a "Good old fashioned upbeat guy that can immediately turn into a psychopath" vibe than Young ever did as well which is what they were going for. Bo and Backlund would have been an AMAZING Pairing in my view, it sucks that it never happened... Dude, that's the entire point of the gag. Darren Young was never a noted singles performer. That's what kept promoting "making someone great again" not a burial as it would be for someone like Bo or Jack Swagger who had both accomplished singles feats at that juncture. Additionally, Backlund's "crazy Mr. Backlund" character only works if he has a straight man to play off to emphasize the nuances of how unhinged his is. Backlund-Bo would have been crazy-on-crazy or obnoxious earnestness-on-obnoxious earnestness and it wouldn't have worked. I'm sure there's some way at some point that Backlund and Bo would have made for great television (perhaps as adversaries) but Darren was the perfect point, and it absolutely succeeded in getting Darren far more over than anyone anticipated. That overness stayed until they wedged him into another career-killing Titus O'Neil former-tag-partner feud.

Summer Rae should have been Charlotte's hench girl, not Dana. Summer may not look like a bodyguard/ enforcer type, but Dana clearly needed more seasoning in NXT and could even have been a good intro program for Ember Moon.

Roman should've been getting Bray's push of never winning main events at ppvs, but always being treated as a big deal until he eventually got his 'moment' against Randy Wouldn't he then be seen as the same "all talk, no walk" stale choke artist that Wyatt gets labelled as nowadays?

I felt the WM 29 booking should have looked like this... World Title Big Show (c) vs Ryback US Title: Swagger (c) vs. Del Rio Then Henry could have played the Show role in the Sheild match... Let Show (who was on one the best runs in his career) win the Del Rio fued (they can give Del Rio a short run but Show wins the fued in Feb) Then Ryback who is still over huge at this time either wins the Rumble or the Chamber. Setting up the Mania match. Ryback looks amazing winning the title at Mania lifting Show up for the shellshock. The next night Ziggler can cash in MitB, let Ryback chase for a month or two until it finally ends with the double turn. Which would make Ryback turn make more sense then just attacking Cena at the end of Raw. Swagger still looking strong from a decent showing at the Chamber can go on to win the US Title (which I'm pretty sure he never won?) while Del Rio is already an over face the "Born in Mexico, Made in America" crap would make more since in a fued over the US Title. When the already face Del Rio comes out to interrupt Swagger giving a promo with his right wing gimmick. Jack thanks to Kane & Johnny Ace essentially stole the US title from Ryder in early 2012.

Jack Swagger should've been paired with Bob Backlund instead of Darren Young. Still don't really understand where that thing was supposed to go.

I still say Crush should've gotten the push that Lex Luger got in the Summer of 93.

Miz should be the top heel on SmackDown right now and nothing in the world can convince me otherwise. Likewise.

Instead of Nash or HBK it should have been Razor as the Kliq guy who should have got the belt in the mid 90's. He was the most over at the time.

That overness stayed until they wedged him into another career-killing Titus O'Neil former-tag-partner feud. Dude Bo and Jack literally couldn't have done worse to have the gimmick of being made great again, they've been buried enough as it is. And Im not entirely sure it WAS a gag, I think WWE truly believed Darren Young was great at one point.
And Bo is a good straight man, the NXT Run had him be the overzealous egotistical champion. It wouldn't have necessarily been crazy on crazy from the get go, it could have slowly shifted as much as Darren's apparent shift would have been, like Backlunds was. Also Bo's a way better promo cutter. Darren is terrible on the Mic and can't really play off of anyone, nor has he ever shown me he could if we're going playing off of each other.
And that's the thing, I think Bo and Backlund would have had more of a shelf life, as heels, as the psychopath and his crazy student. Darren's push died with how shit the ending to the Miz Match was and yes the subsequent Titus Feud and injury. I'm just sayng a lot of people seem to agree with my sentiment.
I think Bo is criminally underrated and this could have given his career new life. Instead they sunk more time into Darren Young who has never shown anything ever except how to get hurt and maybe have a decent tag team game. Yeah he was over, for like two weeks with the gimmick, I feel like if Bo was given the same legs it could have lasted way longer. This is the guy who outrapped an actual friggen rapper in Flo Rida, so yeah, him being stuck where he is right now is a damn shame... cause he could have been great... again.

Enzo and Cass should have won the NXT tag titles instead of the Vaudevillians. The Vaudevillains were white hot at that point, especially with Blue Pants. I don't necessarily think it was a mistake for them to win when they did, but obviously, WWE didn't know what to do with either of these teams when they got called up now did they?

As great as Braun has been, Luke Harper would have been amazing in his role.
Harper and Rowan should also have been The Authority's muscle instead of the Local Men.

Agreed. I must be one of the few that enjoyed Miz's run with the strap. See, I didn't like his first run at all. Triple H has that famous quote that the guy should make the Title and not the other way around, and Miz' first run was definitely them wanting the Title to make the guy. Now, though? Miz is the absolute best heel performer on the roster, and the WWE Title would be elevated by being involved with him.
