Just thought everyone could use the reminder.
Possibly even odder the champion immediately after him was R-Truth.

And then Truth dropped the belt back to Miz two weeks later, making the whole thing pointless.

He also shared a Summerslam main event with Darren Young.

He was also general manager of Raw. I totally forgot about this until watching the "Wrestling with Wregret" video on the Nexus.

I remember this clearly because I was there when he "won" - pretty embarrassing to be quite frank. He didn't even fulfill his promise to parade down Yonge Street.

He won it on the Raw episode guest hosted by noted Canadian hero Buzz Aldrin.

Yeah as a big Bret Hart fan it always annoys me that he's always left off of the modern grand slam winner lists.

Is this the original R-Truth that died in the explosion, or the R-Truth that showed up after?
My timeline is fuzzy.

I'd rather they did the idea they floated for 26 of Bret/Cena vs Vince/Tista with Bret winning the WWE Title and vacating it the next night, just to do Cena/Bats at ER and literally just stop it there.
Bret 2010 is sad bc if he was 80%, he would have had a great run IMO

The Nexus made him disappear.

He once refereed a match in 2011. I think it was Cena/Morrison vs. Miz/Truth. And if i'm not mistaken he put Miz in the Sharpshooter.

For a long time that belt was a load of bollocks

It was the worst year of Bret Hart's life.

Was this the same eposode where Sgt. Slaughter randomly started feuding with Canada? Because that was pretty wonderful.

And then Truth dropped the belt back to Miz two weeks later, making the whole thing pointless. I'm still baffled by them deciding to sell Fatal 4 Way with a four way on the Raw beforehand and having the champion be the one pinned. Way to undermine the constant, "The odds are against the champion!" selling point.

He won it on the Raw episode guest hosted by noted Canadian hero Buzz Aldrin. I was at this show. One of those two received a huge ovation when they came out...
