Greeny was gone for some segments and I didn't even notice until later. He's like a cardboard cutout of himself. I still want to know what compelled them to think he could be the lead guy for their version of Good Morning America
You know a personality for that spot and he's not that guy
It doesn't help that Jalen and Beadle have more personality than him too but they are too focused being goofy and wacky to make any significant contributions
Keep in mind i'm saying all this and I haven't watched one min of that show

They’re in a tough spot though. You have to compliment Greeny’s lack of personality. Golic did it with refined roles just accidentally. Soft nerd, everyman jock. They can try to bring the energy that Greeny just never does, but that alone isn’t gonna save them. I mean, they’re C-caliber sidekicks to a show now anyway. It’s like Ernie Johnson is great, but who would watch him with his own show? He needs Shaq and Chuck and Jet, because he’s gonna look way worse without them. You need someone with not only complimentary talents to Greeny, but way more personality. So someone who needs to have their own show needs to come in and bail out Greeny’s. I’m beginning to wonder if that person even exists under the ESPN umbrella.

Search for a 3rd wheel which imo should be Golic Jr as he is funny asf
Other then that the out the box option is Bomani and Pablo who would make a joke out of Greeny and greatly outclass him
In terms of a sports analyst I wonder if they tried to get Ryan Clark because he is generally a well knowledge guy who can throw out a good joke. Stephen Jackson shitting on everyone early in the morning would have been funny too but no way he's going to NY and getting up that early for a show

Apparently Greenberg said Warriors versus Cavaliers is the greatest rivalry in American sports history. They should cancel the show for that stupid ass statement alone lol.

Boston/Lakers, Pistons/Boston, Pats/Colts, Red Sox/Yankees, Lakers/Kings, Giants/Pats to name a few would like to have a word with him
No f***ing way 4 years of matchups can equate to the decades of a rivalries between Red Sox/Yankees or the storied history of Lakers/Boston (which they made a f***ing 30 for 30 on)

Don’t forget North Carolina-Duke and Alabama-Auburn too.

Don’t forget North Carolina-Duke and Alabama-Auburn too. How about Ohio State and Michigan or Notre Dame/USC? Come on! We can name 30 rivalries that have more meat than "LeBron vs. the Warriors".

Louisville vs. Kentucky as well.
This Cavs/Warriors stuff is simply dreadful to me. First off, this series should be one sided since the Cavs are far worse than they were last year when they got decimated. I was begging for either the Celtics or Rockets to win, though with Paul out I knew the Rockets had problems. The Celtics tanking that Game 7 the way they did was just bad though.
I mean good grief, the closest we've gotten to this was the mid 80s. Celtics/Lakers was the Finals in 1984, 85, and 87. At least Houston manned up in 1986, and in the process ironically kept Bird from saying he went 2-2 vs. Magic in the Finals (Celtics would have won that series). Lakers/Sixers was the Finals in 1980, 82, and 83, but at least the Celtics made a run in 1981 and took out the Sixers in the ECF.
As insanely stale as baseball was in the 1940s/1950s we never got Yankees/Dodgers FOUR times in a row. It did happen in 1947, 49, 52, 53, 55, and 56. But hey at least the Giants and Indians both had a great 1954. That's basically where the NBA is at this point, the staleness of 50s baseball. And for all the romanticizing of that era a lot of teams did awful at the gate back then since they weren't competitive and fans were weary of the same thing.
The deranged thing is that of all these Lebron teams over the past 8 years only two of them have even had the best actual record in the Eastern Conference. Really weird. The 2013 Heat were 66-16 and the 2016 Cavs were 57-25, one game up on Toronto.

I don't even think LeBron vs Warriors is the biggest LeBron rivalry. There feels like more legit venom in the LeBron vs The Pacers decade long feud.

Or his early days vs the Wizards

It is odd that for someone who has been around as long as Lebron has there really aren't many notable rivalries. Jordan had a blood feud with the Pistons for years, then once that one ended he segued into another heated rivalry with the Knicks (not to mention his perennial beatings of the Cavs). I guess Lebron has kind of feuded with the Celtics at various points but it was with two different teams and never really felt like a coherent rivalry.
One problem is that the majority of these games with the Cavs and Warriors have just...sucked. Lot of boring blowouts other than the Game 7 in 2016. Consider the 1998 Finals with the Bulls and Jazz. Not a ton of high scoring in it, but other than the weird 42 point blowout of Game 3 there was a 3 point game, 5 point game, 4 point game, 2 point game, and a 1 point clincher. Same deal with 1997. Each team won 1 game by double digits but otherwise the games were 1, 5, 2, and 4 point games.

I mean the LeBron rivalries off the top of my head are The Spurs (3 Finals appearances against them), Wizards (Battled them a lot early in his career), Bulls (To an extent), Indiana (That's well documented), Warriors (The obvious), Boston (Reason he went to Miami)

They just win too much and don't give you any storylines or sound bytes. They just quietly beat everybody, which isn't good for rivalries. That is kinda the problem with LeBron. His main rivals are in-conference, and he just beats them too much. Those Celtics/Pacers/Bulls teams would be big rivals, but only the Celtics beat him and that was pre-Heat. A lack of balance is what is bad for rivalries. Like, Oklahoma vs. Iowa St in football is not a rivalry for a reason. Celtics were above LeBron when he was on a horribly-run team, and then he went to one of the most stacked teams ever and he's routed Boston ever since. So it doesn't reel you in. The main reason Jordan and the Knicks were kinda a rivalry was because the Knicks were the biggest market team and they played him very physical. If that same team were the Charlotte Hornets, that is not considered much of a rivalry historically. It was a rather one-sided rivalry and needed that NY hype to prop it up.

Right, I 100% get what you are saying. I'm just lifting off guys you can say in theory he had rivalries with
LBJ is in a weird situation, he's dominated the conference so much that he doesn't really have a rivalry where he came back for revenge besides Boston. Indiana played him tough but always lost
However, the man has made the finals for the 9th time in his career and has been an underdog about 6 times if i'm not mistaken

No, I'm saying the Pacers and Bulls esp had everything to be real rivals had they beaten him. They are historically remembered as lesser rivals, but at the time produced very close, very heated, very tense basketball. They were good rivals, they just never got over the hump.

Golic must be feeling vindicated knowing that he can get a new co-host who not only isn't even there half the time due to other commitments/vacation time, but whose name sounds like a 3-count chicken wing appetizer at a Mexican restaurant owned by white people, without it hurting his show at all. Meanwhile his former partner's show is currently a bust because there's no Golic figure to offset his boring personality, with Beadle and Rose and rotating 4th guest host just making it even worse.

How long until they try to combine Golic and Wingo with Greeny
