Babyfaces are booty buttcheeks in 2017. Randy Orton couldn't cut the mustard and lost for the third straight month. The brightside is, Randy Orton should finally be done with Jinder and off to something else. This will give us a chance to potentially see Jinder in a decent feud with someone who is motivated. Not sure if anything good will come of it but they need to get Jinder away from Orton.

Orton winning the Rumble instead of Reigns, Wyatt winning the world title, Strowman and Joe looking like beasts in winning their matches got better reactions than Goldberg beating Owens quickly and Reigns retiring Undertaker, that's for sure.

I swear to god if Orton gets ANOTHER Rematch at Summerslam I might just scream all the way to Road Doggs house where I will knock on the door and slap him. While continuing to scream.

Unless...is this going to be "one more match" Orton?! {Spoiler}{Spoiler} God I hope not. Just put that feud out of its misery already.

Heck add December to that with TLC (Styles over Ambrose) and Sasha's home town HitC loss...

I do wonder what we'd be all like if the inverse happened and faces won every match in these PPVs. "Another PPV ending with a loser ass heel" I'm pretty sure we're looking for some middle ground though, instead of WWE booking to one extreme which they seem to only know how to do.

The most PPVs we've ever gotten in a single year was 16 back in 2006. At the rate we are going (one PPV every two weeks), they should be able to one-up that number by the end of the year (3 more Raw shows, 3 more Smackdown shows, and Summerslam/Survivor Series). This isn't even including the NXT Takeovers (which respectably run during in conjunction with the 'Big Four').
Because of this oversaturation, the PPVs outside of the 'Big Four' are nothing more than glorified 'themed' TV episodes complete with props and theme songs. Production values are no different, segments that were at one point only Raw/Smackdown are commonplace for filler (WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER NEED FOR A PROPER PPV), and the workrate is no better than what you'd get on free television.
The 'create moments' nonsense that Dunn and his crew have been force-feeding to the audience just isn't working. I can count on one hand the number of "moments" that are going to be remembered from the month of July:
- 7/04 SDL - The Rap Battle going 'off the books' with the Usos - 7/09 GBoF - Roman attempts to murder Strowman with an ambulance in an obvious double-turn...and then is still treated as a face the next night - 7/17 RAW - Jordan Angle 'reveal' (which time will tell if this will even amount to anything) - 7/23 BG - The Punjabi Prison features the return of the Great Khali - Slight honorable mention: the Fashion Files segments have been enjoyable, but nothing casual fans would care about
Every other thing that has happened will be completely inconsequential in the long run for the WWE product. Matches won/lost, feuds started, whatever...none of it leads any direction other than yet more short-term feuds that will barely register on the radar in the upcoming months. They've been spinning their wheels for months now, and their audience numbers both in attendance at the arenas and ratings viewer-wise reflects that.
I think the worst part about all of the consistent heel wins is that all of them are the same "stolen victories" that keep dragging the feuds on WAY beyond their shelf lives. Miz/Ambrose and Orton/Mahal are two such feuds that should have either ended with the heel getting their comeuppance by the face, or the face needs to be destroyed so that the next face rises up to take them on already.
I could keep ranting, but I'm going to cut myself off here because I'd be using more brain power than the combination of the booking staff at WWE at the moment if I went further. Something needs to change drastically if they ever want to see proper growth again; regaining lost viewers is all they can hang their hat on when things get better, but the passion and intensity the crowds had not 10-15 years ago is all but dead as long as the product itself doesn't care what it's doing.

A big issue is that the shows are so predictable and formulaic that when a face falls for these predictable heel tactics they look like freaking idiots.

I suspect that while they might fast track a match with Cena he won't get the belt. This is Cena's record breaker so I figure they're going to want to milk that. But I wouldn't be surprised if Cena doesn't get the belt because Corbin blindsides him, cashes in and takes the belt.
