NFL is better when Cowboys and 49ers are on top

Jim Caldwell has been fired by the Lions. John Fox has been fired by the Bears. Oh my. I know that the Lions were disappointed about missing the playoffs and I know Caldwell is a shit coach, but I still don't agree with kicking him to the curb.

John Fox has been fired by the Bears. Oh my. This is the 4th straight coach I can say I was there when the moronic McCaskeys have to stand in front of a group of reporters and answer questions they have no answers for. Watching them squirm is funny.

Vance Jospeh looks to be done as well Kind of a short leash for him considering QB situation but I guess Denver rather start again than keep him Somehow through all these coaches leaving or being fired, Hue Jackson is coming back for the Browns Not so fast...

They must think doing this will keep Ole' Jim Bob off the market.

It's looking like my dream of Saquan Barkley is going to be out of reach. Trade down from 9/10 and draft Bryce Love and a WR. Give JimmyG all the weapons.

Denver may have kept VJ but almost every other coach has been fired. Only OC Musgrave and DC Woods survive. Eric Studesville, RB coach who has been with team almost ten years and was interim HC when McDaniels was fired, is one of the causalities and probably will lead to CJ Anderson being cut or traded.

Here's one for bob and the rest of Packer Fans, Ted Thompson is moving into a new role in the organization and the team is now looking for a new GM according to the NFL app alert I just got.

Welp, everything ends eventually.
I was just about the only Thompson supporter left of the Packer fans on this forum. He definitely should have been more aggressive with free agents, but I subscribe to his general strategy of building through the draft. He didn't have a lot of home run picks, but he also didn't have too many strike out picks. And, outside of Bennett this year, just about every FA who does end up in Green Bay are worth the price. That being said, though, this year proved that a lot of Green Bay's success has been built through Rodgers. Without him we had to go to OT to beat both the Browns and the Bucs. We like to brag about how 90% of our roster are homegrown guys but 90% of the roster also either sucks or are injured. It's also obvious that McCarthy will be on the hot seat next year. If he hadn't won us a Super Bowl he'd probably be walking this year.

So, of the openings, what's the best & worst spot?
Worst spot to me is the Colts, followed by the Bears. Both teams have no players, idiot owners, and a lack of upward momentum. You'd be pretty stupid to go there purely on hoping the QB situation works out.
Best spot might be Detroit. The NFC North is tough when everyone is firing on cylinders, but who's to say Minnesota will maintain this momentum next season?

The NFC North is tough when everyone is firing on cylinders, but who's to say Minnesota will maintain this momentum next season? The best spot is New York if you're patient. You're guaranteed a new franchise quarterback in the draft regardless of what the Browns do. You're guaranteed Darnold, Mayfield, and/or Rosen are available. You've got a new GM who has said outright he's here to kick ass and take names. You've got an owner willing to be patient and give you an honest shot. If you win the Super Bowl you're going to be able to stay two years later than you should late in your career. Finally, you're in a cold city but at least it's the greatest city in the world and not falling apart like Detroit or a small market like Indianapolis.
