Was it? My mistake..Still I reckon some will be up before this day is over. Probably some nice juicy Ember x Thorax stuff. Cause let's face it you can't just be friends, you have to be lovers

In today's episode, it said that Spike was the ambassador to the dragons. Could this open up new stories for Spike where he becomes an ambassador to other non-pony races?

8 seems a fair number. Good gags (the Starlight/Twilight gag especially)

"Triple Threat"...gets an 8/10 from me.
Pros:
-Really liked Ember and Thorax in this episode. Thorax was really cute as a kind of male changeling Fluttershy and his reactions were really hilarious to watch. And Ember's cluelessness about Pony & Friendship culture was also an attack on the laugh muscles (eating Twilight's castle, using Derpy's muffin as a kind of friendship token etc.). The heart-to-heart between the two was also really nice to watch and it definitely was a strong point of the episode.
-Interesting lore addition that Spike can now get map-summoned as well. Personally, I think that Spike and Starlight can get called because they sorta have had a connection with the map due to the Season 5 finale. Though that might be changed if the CMC indeed get summoned. Also a nice change of pace from the usual mapisode that Spike has to solve a friendship problem that he created himself.
-Twilight and Starlight were both really charming in this one (Twilight's love of chairs, Starlight taking a liking to Ember, their reaction to Ember calling them the same). The latter especially was really funny and I hope they make it a running gag with dragons being unable to tell ponies apart.
-Episode had a good pacing again (like most episodes this season) with nothing feeling like it went on too long.
Cons:
-Kinda disappointed with Spike's portrayal here. While not as bad as some of his pre-Season 6 outings, it kinda felt like a step backwards for him, mostly because of his hare-brained scheme to keep Ember and Thorax apart or scheduling them on the same day. Not exactly one of Spike's finest portrayals here and it hurts the episode a bit.
Still, 8/10 is in order.

There were definitely a few nods to the Brony community in this one.

When I heard the plot for this episode I hated it, I thought it was going to be terrible, because it is unnecessary drama, this episode I dreaded seeing. But it was better than I thought it would be. It helps it is self aware, Spike was acting like an idiot for no good reason, and the episode did call him out on it and Starlight is right on the money, Spike has learned some of Twilight's bad traits, because this is something Twilight would have done, at least the old Twilight.
Also some of the racial under tone jokes like Ember saying Twilight and Starlight look the same, Ember saying "only I can say that". I never thought this show would some racial undertone jokes, that is something expect from Steven Universe or Star vs the Forces of Evil, not My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
And message was spot on, think of what can go right and believe in your friends and not assume the worse. Ember and Thorax they seemed like cool people, no reason for Spike to be afraid, but that was the lesson. Even Ember and Thorax got to bound a bit and we are building our alliance, but against what?
So this episode like the lesson is better than I thought going in.

I'd like to believe my hand isn't that deformed.
Also I'm using Lily Longsocks (Strong Filly) in something at the mo.

Oh, right, this episode existed. I watched it when I got up yesterday evening before Takeover, pretty much was entirely in one ear and out the other. And honestly instantly forgetting I watched it makes it probably one of the best Spike episodes.
