Disappointing to only draw 0-0 at home to Preston. But happy for Leeds to be unbeaten after the first 3 (2 league, 1 cup) games of the season.

Well, Burnley decided to only play for 45 minutes today, so they were fortunate to score three times during them.
Seriously, what on earth happened in the second half? I get that Chelsea is the superior squad, but it was one-way traffic for the Blues even being down two men.

Newcastle losing at home to Tottenham
Jonjo Shelvey receiving a stupid red card for a stamp on Dele Alli.

Obviously, it's very early days, yet I can't help but feel Chelsea may regret selling Matic to United.

Midway through the first half, West Ham thought, "Okay, 0-0 draw is good, but maybe we can get more."
The minute they tried that, United obliterated them.

Watching the Supercopa between Juventus and Lazio. Buffon's obviously been somewhere very sunny on his holidays.

Shelvey has no brain. He can always be relied upon to let his team down.

And yet again we see a player sent off for two yellows where one of the bookings was for something silly and unnecessary, in this case, Ronaldo gets booked for taking his shirt off and then minutes later gets his second for diving. I actually don't think he dived, nor do I think it was a penalty. It was two players muscling for the ball IMO.

For all the people who rag on money in football (justifiably), the 'booking for taking a shirt off during a celebration' hurts football more for me personally not even because of the act itself but mostly because it feels like the most killjoy rule ever made by humans.
'How dare you let your passion get ahead of you for a big moment? Pfft!'

'How dare you let your passion get ahead of you for a big moment? Pfft!' I agree in principal, it's a silly thing to punish players for... but I do wonder why players continue to pull off their shirts in celebration knowing it's an automatic yellow card. That said, I genuinely don't understand the motivation to disrobe in celebration to begin with.

'How dare you let your passion get ahead of you for a big moment? Pfft!' Being booked for celebrating with your own fans is far worse IMO. Doing it to the opposing fans should be punished but your own fans? How dare you show a bit of passion.
