Do people stop to consider that perhaps these celebrities are "jerks" because they likely have people stalking them at all hours? They've got fans and the paparazzi after them 24/7. It has to get to them. I totally understand if they feel stressed enough to where they come off as jerks. This is a completely fair point. That being said, it's not the reason I said Bruce Willis, I mentioned him because I've heard stories of him being unpleasant/hard to work with while making movies.

Apparently, from what I've heard/read, Bruce Willis. Well Kevin Smith has spent the past 7 years going on about how much of dick he was on the set of copout.

Björk says of herself that she's a "difficult bastard in real life". A fan shared a story on her official message board years ago, where she behaved badly on the set of a TV show to the point where the staff was making fun of her behind her back. Others reported that she's generally not fond of meeting fans, which is understandable.

Martina McBride played a concert here in town and she was all business, she acted as if she was as big as Paul McCartney from all reports, just a lot of demands, but did a great show and the crowd was happy with her.
On Micky Dolenz:I'm friends on FB with a woman that handles some of his, Mike's & Peter's appearances. I heard from one fan that Mike went on tour again and charges for stuff because of his divorce. I'd just feel weird asking a fan for money.

I've heard stories about Christina Aguilera...of course, the one about calling the guy in the Mickey Mouse suit at WDW an a-hole is an infamous one, but I hear it was debunked. But she was also rude to Valerie Bertinelli, apparently.
One of my friends met Five for Fighting members at a McDonald's or somewhere, and they were pretty much acting like douches, dropping the DYKWIA? bomb.

Yeah, I know some people are just assholes no matter what but it's for this reason that I don't take the stories too seriously. People will say this is what they signed up for, but I don't hold being human like the rest of us against them. Honestly if i was a celebrity i wouild try to avoid all fans full stop. You get to see them on screen or listen to them or watch them etc, thats more then enough, they shouldnt have to put up with people demanding them to sign things or take pictures when they are trying to do stuff. You dont know them, so leave them alone i say. Your pic link is broken, which Lulu is awesome?

Which is in drastically sharp contrast to Kevin Smith going on about how he was the coolest motherf***er on the set of Die Hard 4. Crazy how a few years can completely change someone's perception of them.

I was like "was she a bitch to two different mickeys across the country??" Haha..I was working at that exact location that day (Toontown) the girl playing Mickey was a very chill, passive sweetheart, and even hosts attested that Christina acted like a bitch.

But mind you Willis accused him of being a lazy director who did nothing but sit behind his monitor and smoke weed all the time.

Smith is very forthcoming about his limitations as a director, and is unapologetic about the amount of weed he smokes. Equally, Bruce Willis is known to be a temperamental guy whose list of people he's had strained and outright hostile working relationships with includes Cybill Shepherd, Michael Bay, Ben Affleck, Antoine Fuqua, and Sly Stallone, and has had number of run-ins with interviewers, fans, and paparazzi.

Apparently, from what I've heard/read, Bruce Willis. Well Kevin Smith has spent the past 7 years going on about how much of dick he was on the set of copout. And Bruce has spent the last 7 year proving Kevin right. For example, Bruce was offered 3 million bucks for 4 days work on Expendables 3, he wanted 4 million, so Stallone offered the same money to Harrison Ford, who gladly accepted. Harrison Ford is far less difficult than Willis these days. Clearly there's a reason most of Willis's movies these days are direct to video, and he's usually not the lead, he's played second fiddle to the likes of Kellan Lutz, Mark Paul Gossalear, Thomas Jane, Jason Patric, Chris Meloni and Hayden Christensen. As for the accusations Wilis had against Smith, he reportedly brought the movie in $2-3 million under budget, and WB offered him other movies to direct (One rumor is he was offered the Arthur remake, for example), but he didn't want to make another studio film after Bruce was such a nightmare. It would also explain why Smith is doing so much other work for them, like directing episodes of the Arrowverse shows, and other various side things (He hosted an online interview thing with the cast of Man of Steel, for example), if he did a shitty job, they wouldn't keep giving him work.

You dont know them, so leave them alone i say. I definitely see your point. But when a reporter asked Michael Jackson how did he deal with fans wanting to be around him and mob him he'd say "Just be kind to them. If they want to take a picture take one, if they want an autograph give them one, and if they want a hug give them one. Just be kind. Just as long as they don't attempt to hurt me." Of course peoples mindsets are a lot different now with the sense of entitlement they have. So I wonder if Michael would have that same thought process if he were alive.

See? I would have the mindset of Mike Jackson if I were famous. I would be grateful that people enjoy my work. It takes two seconds to take a picture or sign your name. I also understand celebrities are busy, rushed, hounded, etc.
But if I couldn't accomodate fans or requests, I would try to make it up to them. I would say I am in town for a few days, tweet out places fans can meet me, and so on. I get having bad days, but being a raging asshole is unnecessary. Just the people pleaser in me, I guess.

As for the whole celebs might be dicks because they constantly have people asking for pics and autographs, when I was a Cinema Manager we used to get a lot of celebs come in. Gary Lineker used to come in frequently (I even had to refuse him entry to Mr and Mrs. Smith as his son was under-age) and although he was trying to just blend in with a crowd, if he was recognised he was always very polite to people asking for autographs and such. I watched people going up to several celebs and it was the usual thing really, if people were polite to them, they would sign autographs and being in a cinema, they always had a good excuse not to sign anything if they wanted to ("sorry, my film's about to start"). It's the age old thing really, when it comes to stories about certain celebs being knobheads upon requests for autographs, a lot of the time it's due to how they were asked or when they were approached by people. I wouldn't blame a celeb for telling someone to f*** off if they're asked for a selfie when they're having a meal with friends/family.
But there are some celebs who are flat out dicks regardless. And for the purpose of this thread..... Lenny Henry has a reputation for being a dick and it's well earned as I've had the misfortune to meet him several times and he was always a massive bell-end. Sean Penn is capable of being a colossal twat but at least he's admitted that he is aware of this (even acknowledging his dickishness in an Oscar acceptance speech). Not saying it defends it though, being a self-aware twat is still being a twat.

Oh man, I forgot about that crotchety old f***. I presently work for the particular hotel chain that employs him to be the face of their advertising, and in the last seven years he's opened two hotels where I live. Both times he acted happy when the cameras were snapping pictures, but as soon as the photos were taken he turned into the most miserable person in the room, totally blanking everybody except his assistant.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Jennifer Lopez yet. Her and Mariah Carey have so many stories of them being absolute pricks.
Shannon Doherty is another that nobody has good things to say. A dick on her Beverly 90210 show, kicked off Charmed and the audio commentary for Heathers also buried her.
