The twist will be "Anyone named Ben will automatically advance to the finals." Pretty much accurate.

This season is officially f***ing gross now. Like... god damn they had to figure out how to get Ben in the finals no matter what. Somewhere, Allison Grodner is thinking "Mark Burnett, you're a damn genius!"

I don’t even want to watch the rest. It’s such bullshit.

Ben wins, because Devon is the worst fire-maker ever it seems.

Even Big Brother which is borderline WWE level scripted hasn't gone this far like Survivor is with Ben

Big Brother producers watched this finale and they were like “yeah maybe ease up on the rigging...”

I am so sick of twists screwing over people who played well and would not have otherwise even been on the table to go home.

This will be the only season in the history of the show where I never see the final tribal. I didn't have to. As soon as that "secret advantage" was revealed I knew. I skipped ahead on my DVR to see Devon walk and then ahead to see Ben win.
I expect shit like this from Big Brother. I go in knowing I'm going to get a partially rigged/partially legit game. I expect better from Survivor and they just broke the trust I've had in this show for 30+ seasons.

This show is bb joke territory with how much they rigged it for Ben. With that show it's almost part of it's charm cause they are like a Heel GM who is incompetent at it most of the time. 100% am not watching the next season now. Devon,Chrissy,Ryan and Mike deserved better

Not that Chrissy was undeserving and she was great at final tribal, but Ben is the rightful winner.
They oversaturated the game with idols and he took advantage.

I've defended every winner before as being justified, even ones I hated winning. I definitely think Natalie was a deserving winner in Samoa. This however was more then just finding the excessive idols. It was changing the final vote without anyone knowing until the end. If Ben had outright won that last immunity challenge I'd be ok with him winning. He didn't. If he had won or found the final stupid twist, I'd begrudgingly accept it. He didn't win any challenge. He benefited from Chrissy's backhanded "advantage". They skipped ahead to the tiebreaker scenario without ever casting a vote. I liked Ben, probably even more then Chrissy or Ryan, but I'd accept their win. However, I can't swallow his win. Really sours what was a pretty interesting season. For the next returnees season I think they should bring back Ben and Russel and Tony and every other idol hunter and the twist is no idols but they just keep leaving vague clues that lead to more vague clues. That'd be more interesting then the dreck it's becoming.

I'm torn. On one hand, Ben kinda shouldn't win because the whole point of the no idols in the F4 is so that people have to earn their way go Final Tribal. Ben did earn it, but he didn't. But at the same time the other 3 shouldn't win just for being stupid enough to let a guy play an idol 3 times in a row when his only out was an idol. The fact that they were openly saying "We're not gonna follow him" or Chrissy saying they were tired is just too incompetent to say they should have won. As much as this season was maddeningly gimmicky, Ben realized the parameters of the bullshit and kept playing while everyone else went back to camp and went on autopilot until the IC (except Ryan who just stayed on autopilot the whole time.) And again. And again.
I friggin hated Ben from the get-go, but he's the only one who played to win the whole time. So I have less of a problem with him winning than say Ryan who was a social butterfly but essentially just a number.

The biggest twist they could do now is just have a classic season of "here's a bag of rice, go make camp. The only immunity idol is the one at the immunity challenge."

Well, I'm happy. I didn't get to watch, but spoiled it for myself on purpose. I was indifferent toward Ben when I started watching the season but really started to like him once he ramped his game up. I understand he didn't win any challenges but Survivor is about more than just the physical aspect.
I do have to admit, however, that even I'll always think of his win as having an asterisk next to it with all the twists, advantages, and idols that plagued this season.

I couldn't care less about not winning challenges. The challenges are the least important aspect of the game. What I *do* care about is how Ben's "game play" relied heavily on hidden idols and little else. When he no longer had an idol, he no longer had a shot... until the game gave him one.
Devon had F3 all locked up by his own work and intelligence - no immunity, no twists - and got screwed all for a gimmick. And then they had the balls to shroud it in him "earning" his spot. He earned that all throughout the first 38 days and your "advantage" (which didn't serve to help the recipient or her allies at all) took it all away.
A social game that requires strategic moves to be made is the game, not a hidden idol scavenger hunt.
