Royal Rumble 2010-I thought this was one of the better Rumbles in the last 10 years or so, especially with the story of HBK getting desperate and wanting to face Taker at Wrestlemania in the rematch, also wearing his WM25 gear was a nice touch as well. Of course there were some other moments like Edge's return and R-Truth eliminating Big Show & Mark Henry at the same time.

the Rockers vs. the Brain Busters. SNME 3/11/89 Fast paced match that would still be really good if it happened today. Both teams bring it. Yes it would - even with the inconclusive finish, this match could still happen today. Fashion Police v. Revival (if they were on the same show) would be able to do this match step for step. Thank you for suggesting this one!

No Mercy '06 Take v Kennedy I'm pretty sure I was the only Kennedy fan in the arena. I heard you start a "Kennedy!" chant early on. I think WWE really wanted to make Kennedy a star, and he was well on his way with Taker making him look pretty strong with this match. Kennedy was allowed to counter Old School, give him a piledriver, and managed to avoid the Foley rule. Then wins on a DQ, but loses the segment. What could have been. And God Bless Charles Robinson for having to officiate on the run.

Hmmmm, why not throw in a promo? 2-13-17 Raw: Festival of Friendship Doofus OTT Jericho is best Jericho!!!! The only hint I can think of that would have tipped me to this turn was Owens being pulled aside by HHH either earlier in this episode or the week previous. Owens looks genuinely embarrassed through most of it, not showing his hand until he gives Jericho a gift.... and I could hear the collective hearts of the internet shatter when this all went down. And Jericho talking about how much fun he had - I think that was genuine. My ONLY nitpick is they should have changed camera angles so we didn't see "The List of KO" before Jericho asked why his name was on the list.....

My one nitpick is how bad the "TV monitor" prop looked. I wasn't even sure if it was supposed to be a frame or TV, but then I realized they put plugins for cables on the back of it. But yeah, other than that, one of the best promos in the year, seamless transitioning from great comedy to tragedy in a blink of the eye.

The Steiners vs. Sting and Lex Luger from WCW Superbrawl 91. Possibly my favourite tag team match ever. An amazing babyface match in front of a white hot crowd who love both teams. This was fun to watch - as one of a very few Lex Luger fans (6-8 reasons why) He did well against a very talented Steiner brothers team. Easy night for Sting. JR/Dusty were also enjoyable to listen to, JR calling moves (who does anymore? ) and Dusty being color without being too outlandishly colorful. The production quality is a far cry from what you'll see of WCW at the end of the decade.

Greed 2001 Diamond Dallas Page vs Scott Steiner Thanks to DX I can no longer take Michael Buffer seriously ever again. and yay, Scott Hudson! watching this right after Superbrawl 1991, it's almost jarring to see Big Poppa Pump of 2001 to the Scott Steiner of 1991. Steiner 2001 = current Lesnar. Only has to do a couple of his classic moves and the rest is punch/kick/cuss. I also had forgotten about Schavone's "Who's gonna win this thing??" Surprised the Steiners even bothered to distract the ref since Scott would retain on a DQ. Gotta love WCW booking at that point.....

Bash at the Beach 2000 The Demon vs Vampiro Hulk Hogan kept me from attending this event. I SHOULD have gone anyway. Poor Lil Naitch- from feuding with Macho Man to doing a Lucha Underground segment AND having to play lifeguard and a light tech. If I could actually see what was going on (I know Dale wasn't a great wrestler) I think I would have enjoyed it a little more. Did Vampiro/Torborg ever make it back to the arena?

Chris Benoit/Big Show/Eddie Guerrero/Kevin Nash/X-Pac vs Bubba Ray Dudley/Spike Dudley/Goldust/Booker T/RVD Raw July 8,2002 This is where "OW MY QUAD" started - but this was legit and points to Bubba, HBK and Big Show for trying to keep things moving once they were aware Nash was actually hurt. I am a fan of most of what was going on in WWE in 2002- Bubba was on his way up, RVD as IC champ, HBK back in the company (though at this point he was doing managerial stuff - this was a few weeks before the 10-second DX reunion). several feuds/stories told all in one match. Something you don't see much anymore in WWE.

The hour flies by as stories are told and eliminations go down. Sad that neither Kofi nor Jomo got to do an epic save in this match, but HBK's story is so well told I only thought about it on this re-watch. Show a new fan this Rumble if you can't show them 2004.

Rene Goulet vs Pedro Morales Primetime Wrestling September 29, 1986 Rene Goulet looks to be from the Greg Valentine school of Aging. Crowd is extremely not interested in this match. and Monsoon/Lord Alfred is an underrated commentary pair. They tried to save this match, they really did. I'm kinda amused about the talk of high-risk maneuvers in 1986, when that meant jumping off the middle rope. "French Croissant crush"? *facepalm*
