As you've read 48 of them now, a query. Contains a whodunnit spoiler, which I've tagged, in case you haven't read it, though I feel like it was one of the early Fear Street books? But not sure after 20-30 years. What is the Fear Street where someone is murdering the girl's friends, and half of the book is from her point of view. Only for RL Stine to shift it mid-way through to {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}her boyfriend, who is the killer, and we get his POV and feelings and self-doubt as first person narrator. I legit thought that was one of Stine's greatest WOW twists when I was a teen. Forget the book.

One of the few that stick in the mind. Been reading the Point Horror reviews, and I always start going "Did I read this one?" only within a paragraph to go "Oh yes, it's the one where the dad/brother/receptionist/long lost sibling did it!"

Have you ever heard of the Goosebumps parody series Gooflumps? They sound pretty bad, but it might be worth investigating at least one of the two books in the series: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GooflumpsOn a more serious note, there's another Goosebumps-type series called American Chillers that actually is worth looking into (at least IMO): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Chillers

American Chillers is also on the to-do list eventually.

Ah yes, the Goosebumps books. I fondly remember those because they were the ones I always picked out as my choice of novel when we had to do reading assignments.
