I also liked Chicken Chicken. It was stupid, but I found it fun in a weird sort of way. I also liked Lawn Gnomes. Maybe I just enjoy shit. I think it's the ones which are a bit weird and different I enjoyed. Ghost, werewolf and vampire stories... they're everywhere. Stories about monster owned theme parks or evil Lawn Gnomes, Scarecrows, beasts playing hide and seek etc which are different, I found interested me more.
An exception is Legend of the Lost Legend. I thought that was dreadful as a kid and when I read it as an adult thought it was even worse,

I don't know if I've commented on this before, but it's awesome. I grew up loving Goosebumps and these are a great trip down memory lane.

Look forward to the review on it. I think for me it was just too random. Here's a weird snow dog, look here's Viking girl, now here's a hairy monkey thing, giant mice, robot cats. It just zoomed from one random event to another. Shock Street I remember was like that, but it worked more for that book because it was based around a theme park ride with each bit based (presumably) on a Shock Street movie. I did like the twist ending though.

So I have the pages started for the final 14 that I have to write up (Lost Legend is ready for tomorrow), so these should all be finished in February. As for anything else GB, we'll see how I feel later on. The project focus currently is just the main 62.

Ah, one of my least favourite. The twist ending is good though.
How to Kill a Monster is one I didn't enjoy as a kid but the recap makes it sound decent. May give it another read.

Calling All Creeps is a great one.
I'd forgotten how much I liked How to Kill a Monster too. Quite a dark one.

I liked How I learnt to Fly. It didn't feel like a Goosebumps book, but it's a good story and I like the ending.

I liked the premise of don't go to sleep. A book with a similar, reality warping plot has a lot of potential but the execution was lacking.
Read it not too long ago and just felt disappointed since the idea could have been so much more.
