That looks disgusting Corn & beans on a pizza is normally made by Eastern European countries that assume Americans will eat anything on a pizza crust. Its an unforgivable sin.

You remember that episode of Bar Rescue where Jon Taffer gets on the cook from Pirates for randomly making meals without testing it first? These two pizzas symbolize that philosophy.

Wow damn that's worse than I expected it to be. In eastern Canada, we have the "all dressed" pizza, which is pepperoni, green peppers, and mushrooms. Real great combination, and when you get it from a good pizza place it can't be beat. But a lot of pizza places up and down the quality spectrum all have the same "(Restaurant) special" pizza, which is an all dressed with bacon and onions; kind of a little bit busy but not inedible, and from a really good pizza joint it still works. That's what I figured this would be, but I had no idea this was the kind of hipster place that would try to make a pizza out of what would, in the case of that scissor kick one, be a really kickass burrito or salad. But hey I guess good job TNA; you've found new ways to surprise me.

So what was the official Impact beverage? I gots to bring up Jon Taffer one more time. You don't serve cocktail drinks in mason jars.

I always think mason jars are a wonderful accompany to rustic beverages like whiskey, bourbon, & moonshine, not for experimental mixology. But that's just me.

Maybe that is the usual, but there is normally a bar rule, not a restaurant rule.

The scissor kick would be a great burrito and the piledriver would be a real good sandwich. As pizza's they are a total mess. Still though, I hope one brave FAN member goes there and tries these concoctions!

So what was the official Impact beverage? Someone tell Nordholm that I will do commentary if I get unlimited pitchers of these from 2 hours before the event until the end. That's how you get buckets of cash.

Still though, I hope one brave FAN member goes there and tries these concoctions! The scissor kick would make a great burrito, a dish served on a bed of white rice, or one of those fast food salad bowl things that a restaurant trying to offer "healthy" options would provide, and it'd be delicious. Or even as a "different" kind of option for a big party where several bowls of salad are out and you want to do something outside the usual macaroni salad/potato salad/ceasar salad rut. Great flavour combination and jerk chicken already belongs on a bed of black beans (and rice) anyway so that just makes sense. Like you said, the pulled pork one would make a great sandwich (and also lots of cool sandwich-ish sorts of things like quesadillas, burgers, grilled cheese, small open-faced appetizer sandwiches); could also be an interesting sort of topping for something like a macaroni and cheese or even some kind of freakish nacho dish. These are really good flavour profiles, which is why crowding a pizza with all this junk is so frustrating. This doesn't even upset me as someone who loves to laugh at TNA, this upsets me as someone who likes cooking and knows these dishes are disasters. I sincerely hope the owners of this place are people who just wanted an excuse to make these dumb pizza ideas forever, and knew they were dumb, but now that they have a promotional tie-in they figured "f*** it we can trick people into buying these bloated clusterf***s now".

I like this, if only because of the mental image of a poster on this board sitting here trying very hard not to step into this thread and stand up for themselves and their restaurant, because they know that once the Impact afterparty happens and he dumps a vat of pig's blood on Alberto's head we'll understand everything.

They're going to have to sell the drink in barrels to get people pissed enough to try the pizza.

They're going to have to sell the drink in barrels to get people pissed enough to try the pizza. They're going to have to sell it by the barrels just to get people to show up to BFG and then sell them even more just to get through BFG because I doubt you could sit through it sober.
