They literally had her storyline run someone out of the business by slapping her.
Gail can be Queen of her anthill, she's got a rich husband, she doesn't give a shit, but she doesn't deserve an ounce of respect from anyone else.

Yeah Borash told him it was because of Respect and that she's the best female wrestler of all time, Borash is full of shit. You could name 10 random Joshi wrestler that are better then Gail Kim. I'm suripsed they haven't rename the title, The Gail Kim Impact Championship.

Doesn't anyone else finds it weird that Kim only managed to get over in tna but never in any other company? That speaks volume to how awful the other knockouts were if she was the best of the bunch.

I wouldn't say she was just another diva. But yeah she was exposed pretty badly during that run. and Gail has never been the best wrestler on any roster she's been on. During the high point of the division they had Kong, Hamada, and Cheerleader Melissa who are all leagues better than her.

The moment she realized they weren't going to strap a rocket to her ass she ran back to TNA and received the biggest of mega pushes possible. They literally handed her BOTH women's titles within her first month and days after each other.

Gail Kim is a seven time champion. You want to know who else is a seven time Champion? Trish Stratus in WWE. Not only did she win the title in her last match like Trish but she also become a 7 time Champion too. Well if you want to give Gail another ego boost, She a 8 time Women Champion if you want to count her 1 time WWE Women Championship reign. So yea, She pull a Jarrett and make herself champion just to make herself look better then she actually is.

I just finished watching Bound for Glory, and it shouldn't have come as a surprise to me that Gail Hogan pulled the same ol shit.
Surprised more people haven't called her out on it.

Queen Emma of Normandy who married Aethelred and then Knut (him what tried to order the waves to stop) had a chronicle written about herself that features the line...
"A lady of the greatest nobility and wealth but yet the most distinguished woman of her time for her delightful beauty and wisdom"
And generally talks about how amazing she was and how the world revolved around her.
Its an abstract reference I'll admit, but I get the impression Emma would look at Gail and say "ehhhh bit much isn't it?"

Your last match has to end with you on your back - is some WWE nonsense they have been pushing for a while. To me it's dumb. They had Ric Flair retire by loosing to Shawn Michaels, that doesn't make any sense what so ever. And right after that they had everyone retire with a loss.

I'm sure fans would have rather had Steamboat, Dusty, or Sting, but it's what he chose.

...Ok. So, let me make this clear now. I am not a fan of this or of Gail Kim in general. THAT BEING SAID...for as much as people make the trope of "leaving on your back" when guys leave a territory...how many top names actually did that in a clean manner? I feel like if you mde some kind of list, you would find out that most didn't. At most, they did some kind of screwy finish and quietly bailed like they had instant transmission. Now, all that being said, at least a lot of those folks didn't leave with the f***ing belt, lmao. Even if it was in a bullshit match that didn't help anybody, they let go of the title. So, this is pretty ass and I'm not trying to defend the decision. Just kinda thinking out loud that this really isn't a uncommon thing, which makes sense when you consider the egos of wrestlers. That would be an interesting thread honestly. Well, off the top of my head, Hogan v Yoko Undertaker v Roman Flair v HBK HBK v Austin Austin v The Rock Even if they didn't want to, they did it.

It's not something WWE made up at all; it goes back to the territory days, where people on their way off to another territory would put people over before they went out so that the people who would be pushed in the territory after them got the rub and the cycle continued. Unless you were the NWA Champion you were probably going out on your back. And you certainly didn't spend your last match winning the title and then dropping it the next night, after the year before where you won the title on the night of your "Hall of Fame induction ceremony" only to then vacate it due to a back injury.
