From the Wrestling Observer.
"Regarding the Hall of Fame at Bound for Glory, once Jeff Jarrett left for good and they had nobody committed (the idea was Jerry Jarrett and Mike Tenay but Tenay wasn’t happening either way and Jerry, who did help start the company with Jeff and Bob Ryder and was a key guy in the early days, but left in a falling out with Jeff over Jeff using Vince Russo as booker and other things, in fact for years the two didn’t speak until reconciling) they decided to kill the concept, but James Storm was not on the list for being considered"

Apparently they wanted 10% of the fake Rolex they were going to give to Storm and he balked.

I mean it's not like the TNA Hall of Fame meant anything.
I mean like literally everyone involved made their name elsewhere... not to mention EARL HEBNER was inducted one year.
You could probably argue Gail but she was already a former WWE Women's Champion before being in TNA... but TNA certainly over inflated her ego to a massive degree.

Gail Kim buried the entire Hall of Fame itself.

Meaningless Hall of Fame or not the fact that Storm, Abyss, and when he was there Young were apparently never even considered is disgusting.

And nothing of value was lost. This was just another stupid idea by stupid Dixie Carter.
This moron wanted to charge the talent for the shitty dinner and dried ice tea. Dixie wanted to honor Sting because in her delusion she truly believes that Sting was a homegrown tna guy, ignoring that nobody knows about his tna run in fact by Sting's own admission when fans recognized him, they asked him why he retired.
Ironically Sting hated the hall of fame ceremony, to the point that he admitted it was one of the reasons why he left. So Dixie at the end wasted money on the stupid dinner and on a Rolex. Just like Panda wasted millions and millions funding tna.

I still remember Dixie's response as to why does TNA only seem to hire former WWE guys was something like "The WWE hired Hogan, Flair and Sting! So they do it too!" Despite literally nobody else thinks of those 3 as TNA Guys.

Or everytime Hogan did a media appearance he only talked about himself and the wwe, the only time he talked about tna was to make fun of the company's name in the Howard Stern show.

Say what you will about Abyss, but the man has given his body for this company for years. And when it's all said and done the only thing he'll have left are the memories if unfortunately he doesn't develop CTE because of all the unprotected chair shots he took. Just a recap of what Abyss did for TNA. 1. Numerous unprotected chairshots to the head (watch Christian's stable whacking him and what we know now about concussions it's just unacceptable.) 2. Scarred his body after being asked and encouraged by fn Russo to take bumps on tacks every single match. 3. Takinng unnecessary bumps on a table lit on fire and I think spike didn't even show the footage. 4. Losing his front teeth to a Rob Van Dam kick. 5. Risking getting hepatitis by wrestling in a dirty canvas with Desmond Wolfe. 6. Allowing his character to be booked as a bitch losing any shot of drawing money. 7. Choosing tna instead of the wwe, I don't think they even gave him a raise. It's safe to say that Abyss wasted his life. He's the Milton of tna.

Man, this is a blow to me. The TNA HOF was a monumental occasion honoring those who made a name for themselves before coming over and not moving the ratings upward. How else will legends like Drew Galloway, Hulk Hogan, Christian, or Ken Shamrock get honored for their contributions? Smh

We're missing the best part here
Not even Mike Tenay wanted to be apart of this shit, and his name literally is TNA.
