There's a Christmas song about fighting vampires. Really. You can't just throw that out there and not post it here

Just did my first wave of shopping and intend to finish tomorrow.
I have my brother-in-law (Jordan Gatorade hoodie and pair of Jordan 1s), my aunt (the new John Grisham book), my fiancée’s mom (a really nice blanket) and my fiancée’s dad (tickets to see a Canada game at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Buffalo) done.
Tomorrow, I need to get stuff for my fiancée (nothing big because we just bought a new kitten that was very expensive and decided that we didn’t need to buy each other gifts on top of that, but she went ahead and bought me something and now I hafta get her something in like the $100 range), my sister, my nephew and my parents.
The mall was busy today, but less of a zoo than I was expecting, so I’m hopeful tomorrow won’t be too nuts at a different one.

Did most of my shopping through Amazon. Except bought gift cards from Best Buy, 2 video games and one DVD because they were on sale at Target, and the movie Dunkirk will be bought at the mall because it doesn't come out until next Tuesday.

Did almost all my shopping at either Amazon or Abebooks. Final item I was waiting on came in today.
Debating on seeing if I can get my Monday 3 month check up moved to early next month so I can instead go do my Toys for Tots shopping.

Tried doing some shopping today. But this store I was in had narrow aisle ways (there were displays in the Center of them)and f***ing morons with trolleys kept stopping right at the narrowest point (between said display and a shelf) to gawp at something blocking the walk way... PUT YOUR TROLLEY ASIDE THEN LOOK.
Got frustrated then left.
Found a nice little bookshop.. so got my little nephew a couple of picture books.

While searching the Apple Music library I was surprised how many musicians/bands have released Christmas music.. some finds: Tori Amos - Winter I have an impossible time classifying Winter as a Christmas song. If others can shoehorn it in, that’s cool. But that song is far from a Christmas song for me. Also, it is awesome! “I get a little warm in my heart when I think of ...

Finally did some Christmas shopping. Got my wife a pair of shoes and a Star Wars t-shirt (with a Porg on since she liked the Porgs). Also spotted Harvest Moon on PS Store (had no idea there was a PS4 version until today) so going to download that for her before Christmas since she's been saying she wants a Harvest Moon game for a while.
Going to a discount warehouse tomorrow to get some cheap crap for the classes I teach on Chjristmas Day.

I feel weird. I'm doing little of nothing on Christmas and I have half my gifts, but I'm still super hype for Christmas day.

Got all the gifts wrapped today. Found the bin with gifts bags in the storage unit. So used those for most of the gifts.

I watched the Muppets Christmas Carol the other night and started thinking about what happens after the events of the story. Does Scrooge end up becoming overbearing to Bob Cratchit and his family like Homer Simpson did when him and Ned Flanders became friends? Or would he eventually go back to his old ways?

I watched the Muppets Christmas Carol the other night and started thinking about what happens after the events of the story. Does Scrooge end up becoming overbearing to Bob Cratchit and his family like Homer Simpson did when him and Ned Flanders became friends? Or would he eventually go back to his old ways? The thing is I never think Scrooge hated Christmas. I think he always loved Christmas. But everything he associated it with it had caused him pain. The death of his sister, his fiance leaving him, etc to the point where he created a wall to protect himself from pain. Look at how happy he is to relive his Christmas at Fezziwinks. Look at how eager he is to play games at Fred's Christmas party. This is not a man wno hates Christmas or life in general. In the end the spirits gsve him the gift of being able to address and move away from his pain. So the Scrooge we get at the wnd is the real Scrooge with bis protective walls removed.

I placed an order for the last bits of my grandmother and mother's Christmas gifts on the 12th, delivery estimate 19th to the 22nd. Gave it a week, nothing. Contacted Amazon's customer service and dude told me some of the items weren't available. So he played around with my order and gave me free one day shipping, told me as soon as they were available, they'd ship and I'd get them the next day. This changed the delivery date to the 27th, which... stressed me out more because I hate when things aren't perfect.
This morning, I noticed it said one of the orders were preparing to ship. Then around 7 PM I received an email from Amazon telling me there was a delay in shipping my order. Then I checked a couple hours later and its status had changed to "SHIPPING NOW". Just now, three of the items shipped. Now there's only one item for my grandmother and one item for my mother in limbo, which is a lot better than my grandmother only getting one of the things I was planning on giving her for Christmas. At least now they'll both get 90% of their gifts if this one day shipping thing pans out.
