Well if that's her return, I think its safe to say she'll be extended. She's a cornerstone. Not anymore. She was surpassed in every aspect by the newer crop of nxt women. She has also been absent for a long time and was on the news this year for the wrong reasons. She needs to prove herself again. She's not the most valuable woman anymore. Hell we have Becky, Bliss, Bailey, Banks, Charlotte, Carmella, Naomi, Jax, and Asuka. She's barely top ten and could be lower than that. That pop proves that people still care about her. She could've gotten crickets like Mickie did, but she didn't.

That is a good point, but I do wonder if anyone can answer - how smarky is Houston normally? Given that this was night three of a four night engagement in Houston, including an NXT Takeover and a big four PPV, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that the show was at least semi-filled with "smarks", which would serve to enhance the pop Paige got last night. It will be interesting to see if her reactions are sustained over the next few weeks since it seems WWE do have plans for her, or if they start to fade out when they get to other markets.

There were definitely a decent share of smark leftovers from Takeover and the PPV. It was obvious to me with the NXT chants as well as some audible chants for Sonya who obviously wouldn't be someone your average non smark WWE crowd would know as she's never been on WWE TV and only has appeared sparingly on NXT which your average casual fan isn't going to be watching anyways.

She was gone for more than a year, there were also nxt chants throughout the show. How does getting a welcome back reaction proves you're a cornerstone? There was a time Paige was the best woman out there because compared to her the rest of the division was garbage, now that's no longer the case. One could argue that shes on the Alicia Fox tier.

Paige was on some Doink shit with that lipstick. Seriously though... One step away from Laurel Van Ness' jilted Courtney Love look.

Never ceases to shock me how much some people underestimate Paige's popularity (with more casual fans too) despite all of the evidence. Obviously that sort of reaction is not sustainable though.

I've watched her return a handful of times on YouTube.
I'm really happy for her. She seemed to have both feet out the door with her suspensions and personal life going nutty. Success in the face of adversity. Good for her.

It's not normally this smarky, but there's been "1! 2! Sweeeeet" chants all weekend, so probably high. And I think there was an ROH show Friday which probably upped the smark

I dislike Paige I think she is very overrated not very good.. compared to the others on the roster. and her real life personality remind me of people I know who crave drama and then plays victim when things do not go her way yeah.. not a big fan of her at all.

Honest question: IS the women's division so desperate for Heels that they need 6 of them?

Remember, the women's revolution started as a gang war. I meant to write that it’d be a repeat of that but across two brands but it didn’t come out that way for some reason.

...Someone copy pasted things into the SmackDown plan and just changed the names, apparently. The more I think about it, the more I get the feeling that both brands were told to call up a few women and incorporate them into the show immediately, and they both independently thought of a heel trio. The other similarities are coincidental on the surface, but when you consider that it's common sense for the two blondes and the two powerhouses to be split between the two shows, it just ended up that way.
