The official announcement is due today, but it's expected that he's covering Disney Channel original movies this year.

Would that also cover the movies that premiered under the "Disney Channel Premiere Movies" moniker (starting with 1983's "Tiger Town") or would he really start with the movies that have the "Disney Channel Original Movie" moniker proper (starting with 1997's "Under Wraps")?

Not Quite Human series or no buys!!!!
Also it's not Disney (and thus won't be included here) but it reminds me...it's high time Doug talks about The Raccoons.

Yep. It's DCOM, and yep, it starts with 1997

Looks like he'll be discussing the Kim Possible and Phineas and Ferb tv movies, wondering what he thinks of those shows.

You know, after last year this was really something I was hoping he would do (although I was hoping he would start with the Premiere stuff, I was looking forward to hearing him review things like Not Quite Human and Mr. Boogedy).
But with the post-1997 stuff there's a lot of things that I've heard about but never seen and I'm curious about - Zenon, Jett Jackson, Halloweentown, Wendy Wu, etc. This will hopefully give me a good sample on if any of these are worth tracking down to watch.

Well, he can still save the Disney Channel Premiere Movies for next year's Disneycember.

So that space ship in Zenon, they just glued some wings onto a sex toy right? I'm the only one thinking that, am I?

Peg Bundy as the HAL 9000? Ok, I'm sold.
And six days in and he still hasn't hit 2000 yet? After Zenon it looked like the next Disney Channel movie of any note of Johnny Tsunami, simply because it had a sequel several years later, but he's chosen to review all three movies in between. I gotta wonder what Doug chose to drop that he's focusing so much on these early ones.

Phantom of the MegaPlex was my thing when I was 10. So I expect him not to talk about it.
That or the twin girl basketball movie.
He also is already doing better than last year when every movie was "weeeeelllll it wasn't bad but it wasn't good. It was just okay."

Zenon 2: The Zequel

So he skipped over the second half of 1999 and all of 2000 and jumps right in the Zequel in 2001? Was not expecting that. Honestly kinda surprised he's even bothering with sequels. Quick glance of the Disney Channel movies Wikipedia page says the next one of any note is the Jett Jackson movie, but considering Doug's picks so far I wouldn't be surprised if he went in a completely different direction.
