And CODY is already saying he wants DB for the ROH title. Man...this could potentially be the event where Danielson makes his grand return.

When is Bryan's contract up? I wouldn't be surprised if he's already talked to them secretly. Sept. 2018 Yeah but wont he have the traditional 90 day no compete clause go into effect then as well? Thus sending him into December before he can legally compete

Based on what im reading if all goes well it will not be an ROH show This has the feel of those "CTU Anniversary Shows" they used to do. The only differences are where the event will happen and who it's catered towards. That, and the main event. I seriously doubt Cody and company will book Kishin Liger vs. Badboy Hido 2.

If it's a show being run by Cody and the Bucks, it's not proving Meltzer wrong in his statement that "ROH can't draw 10,000" with a show of its own. It wouldn't, because they stick to a reasonable budget and don't take unnecessary risks. (That's smart on their part.)
I see this show happening, and it being really good, and drawing in the 6,000-8,000 range.
Based on WWE's decision to book Starrcade head to head with Wrestlecade recently, it wouldn't be surprising to see an event they promote head to head with it. Not to mention other promotions also trying to run shows that day, which usually happens on any given weekend anyway.
The biggest ROH crowds have still been less than 6,000 people. ECW never drew more than 7,000 people. TNA, even with a 2 hour weekly advertisement on Spike TV for years and with Hogan, Angle, Sting, etc. never drew more than 8,000. But with recent success of companies like ICW, who knows. I still don't see it hitting 10,000, though.
If it were to come close, though, the key is a cheap general admission ticket price. If you go back into wrestling history, when business was hot in certain areas, drawing thousands every night, you'd see $2 or $3 general admission tickets available to fill a venue. In today's terms, that means an $8 or $10 general admission price to fill the nosebleeds in a 10,000 seat venue.
If Punk were to come back for a match against Danielson on this show, and it were in Chicago, that'd draw some interest. Add Omega to the show, and that would also help quite a bit.
No matter what, I don't think Cody and the Bucks will lose money on this. Let's be honest. They can only book their buddies on the show with the condition that they get a percentage of the gate after the other expenses (venue, insurance, setup, travel, etc.) are covered, and their friends will agree to that, because they're friends. This isn't some random promoter deciding to run a show where the whole roster demands big money to appear, and the guy loses his ass in the process.

WWE will book a "SUPERCARD" a few minutes away from them just because they can

I really hope CM Punk has mellowed on his hating of pro wrestling, because this would really help his damaged image. Something Like Kenny Omega versus Punk would sell like hot cakes. Plus what better way to stick it to Vince. Just sucks he most likely will just go to get his ass kicked in ufc again.

I would love to see thing succeed and grow into an indy version of Wrestlemania. Would be awesome to see indy and lesser known wrestlers have a big payday and event to look forward to each year.

Man, I'd laugh (and yet not even remotely be surprised) if the reason WWE is suddenly dragging all of Dusty's old ideas out of mothballs (Starrcade, War Games) is just to keep Cody from trying to use them on his own show.

War games the match type was apparently not trademarked as TNA would have gotten sued by the WWE for using it so there is no reason why he couldn't if he wanted.

I know people are desperately keen for a BIG successful alternative to WWE, but I don't necessarily get the clamouring for this to be a thing. It would be hugely inflated beyond what any promotion other than WWE or maybe New Japan could reach in the States and as I said earlier in the thread, entirely based on the Young Bucks/Bullet Club bubble.
September next year? Who's to say they'll still be at this level of popularity? It's a huge risk to go for this just because of something written in a dirtsheet.
They could either lose their assess on it, OR create a clamour that forces ROH to push beyond where it currently reaches. It's way too inorganic as I see it. Granted that's just my opinion and it matters not a jot, but for all this talk of an indy boom period, it's based on a few bubbles and big speculation as has been mentioned here and in other threads recently is a good way for a company to go belly up.
I'd rather see them be able to book say 5-7000 every 4 months or so with solid promotion than go for a 10000 show with names that aren't going to be there full time and no one to fill the vacuum they leave.

Apparently the location will be either LA or Chicago Seems like it all depends on if they can wrangle up enough money to acquire the services of a certain failed MMA fighter named Brooks...

Apparently the location will be either LA or Chicago But...but...at the OTT show last weekend they said they were going to hold the show in Dublin! (Which people genuinely believed by show’s end, not surprising but still)

Rooting for Chi-Town.... not that I'm bias or anything. Yeah, out of the two, marketably Chicago makes sense with the ProWrestlingTees store being there and you can do events there and other places before the show.
