I really hope after this trilogy and the other side-stories planned they let the series rest for a long while again. It makes them too much money, and that worries me. They have to let people miss it again. Has it ever really gone away? Aside from the gap between those Ewoks movies and the release of the Special Editions there's been new or revamped Star Wars in theatres or on TV almost continuously for 20 years now. And there’s been a new cartoon either on TV or in cinemas for the last decade and a bit.

Unlike Lucas arts with all the action figures, games, books, spin off ewok movies and cartoons, and so on. Yeah, let’s not try and do some weird revisionist history where Star Wars DIDN’T have every product under the sun after Lucas got the merchandise rights to it. If anything, Disney have been super tame with it in comparison. Yeah Star Wars literally invented the idea of obscene levels of merchandise.

There's at least a gap from 1987 to 1997. 1977: A New Hope 1978: Holiday Special 1980: Empire Strikes Back 1983: Return of the Jedi 1984: The Ewok Adventure 1985: The Battle for Endor 1985-1987: Droids/Ewoks cartoon 1997: The Special Edition 1999: The Phantom Menace 2002: Attack of the Clones 2003-2005: The Clone Wars 2005: Revenge of the Sith 2008-2014: The Clone Wars 2014: Rebels 2015: The Force Awakens 2016: Rogue One 2017: The Last Jedi

I don't necessarily care for the way she is written, but she has great screen presence.
The acting is one part of the new movies that is not a problem at all so far, thank goodness.

This franchise will continue no matter what as long as it keeps making money. Sadly Disney seems intent on whoring the IP out as much as they can. Unlike Lucas arts with all the action figures, games, books, spin off ewok movies and cartoons, and so on. Lucas also whored out the IP. But we got what 8 films,if you count the 2 made for TV Ewok films,in what 30 years? Disney seems to want a new star wars film out every year.

I don’t expect them all to be great Like I don’t have great hope for the Han Solo movie but I’ll see each on in theater

If they're quality films, what's wrong with a new Star Wars every year? Personally, I like the idea of a new Episode every two years with a Rogue One or Han film to change things up. Sometimes you can have quantity and quality.

Between '77 and '08 Lucas released 10 movies either theatrically or direct to TV (13 if we count the Special Editions as separate, which most purists do). That still averages out to one every couple of years. It's just the ten-year gap in the middle that makes it seem like he was more reserved about it.

Just get her stunt double to to take over the role. Am I the only one that thinks that is incredibly sexy? I am? Oh well, I guess I’ll be that guy. You aren’t the only one my friend. She is scalding hot.

Like, if Lucas had the money, he would have done Episodes 7, 8 and 9 himself but one of the reasons he sold to Disney was because he didn't and might as well cash out whilst there was interest from a major corporation he'd work with before.

Not at all surprising, but I do hope at least hope to enjoy her while she's around. Rather liked Rey in the first movie of the set.

Hell the one condition Lucas had to let Mel Brooks makes Spaceballs was that Mel couldn't make any merchandise because it'd interfere with his Star Was money. (which is why the Merch was all rebranded Transformers stuff ) also missing from all the talks of the movies are... Video Games... there have been games on every single console pretty much since the atari 2600

I like Daisy just fine, but I'm not clamoring for more of her. I actually thought she was the weak link acting wise in TFA compared with Driver, Boyega and Isaac.

I like Disney, though I guess she doesn't want it to be all she's known for. I can understand that.

Yeah, and wasn't she hoping to get the Lara Croft role before someone else got cast? I am not sure if that was just rumor mill stuff, though. It's good to invest in yourself.

I remember seeing that, yeah. I like the choice of Alicia Vikander a lot and she’s a better actress overall but I wouldn’t have been annoyed with Ridley getting it.

The Force Awakens was one of her very first non-short film roles and I think even she acknowledged that she wasn't experienced beforehand. Kind of impressive how big she started out.
