The committee should be ashamed of itself.
What's the point of having a resume or scheduling tough? And whatever happened to DON'T LOSE LATE?
Apparently, everything goes out the window when it's Alabama, who basically plays by their own rules.

Can we take a moment and appreciate the officiating in the Georgia vs Oklahoma game? The refs didn't make the game about them, and they let the teams play.

I really hope Georgia beats Alabama next Monday night, but I don’t have a good feeling about it.

Jalen Hurts is a fun interview for sure lol. Helluva football player though, really has improved over the past year.

If Alabama and the Patriots played on a neutral field, I'd root for Brady/Belichick.
At least the Pats don't need a committee to decide their playoff seeding and fate.

I predict Lord Alabamamungus wins the National Championship and Georgia's SEC championship is slapped with an Asterisk (*) I hope NCAA investigates CFP corruption in the future

Alabama basically plays by their own rules. Resume, schedule, division/conference wins- don't matter. Why? Because Bama eye test and the committee/media have nothing but Big Bama Boners. As much as I can't stand the Patriots, at least they don't need a vote for the #1 seed in the AFC. I do think it's funny that this playoff was born out of finding an even playing field where the bigger programs weren't the only ones playing for the title. Here we are a few years in with OSU beating out TCU and Bama big timing OSU out. Still tons of favoritism. Feels like a government thing almost where if you don't like the system we have now we can change it to a different system that works exactly the same.

Alabama 'fans' are the most spoiled fans in sports.
Forget national championships- they think national title GAMES are their birthright.

I normally watch college football religously. Definitely not watching the title game this year.
Can't stand Alabama getting a free pass into the playoffs.

Seriously, what is it going to take for the committee to leave Bama out- 3 losses?
We might as well rename the college football playoff Alabama and 3 others.
Seriously, I think Bama is doing more harm than good for the sport.
If they win again, why bother watching until Saban retires?

Seriously, I thought when they ended the BCS, the playoff system wouldn't play favorites.
I understand why Central Florida or Ohio State couldn't get in, but just giving Alabama a free trip to the championship is really awful.

As the poster above me said, Wisconsin wins and Alabama doesn't make it in. Oh and Ohio State not losing by 31 to Iowa would have helped too. To any other conference, you don't even win your divison and you don't have a chance in hell at the playoff. Wisconsin had one loss against the team that finished 5th in the rankings, in a one-score game, in the conference championship. Bama had one loss at Auburn who finished 7th, and lost by 10 (? 12?) and didn't win their division. Yet I feel like if Wisconsin's EXACT reśume had Bama's name value with it, they'd definitely be in. What it comes down to is the committee is never gonna turn away an SEC team if it comes down to a viable choice between an SEC team and a non-SEC team. Especially Bama. If OSU and Wisconsin this year were named Bama and Georgia, I would not at all believe that neither of them make it. One 1-loss team with their loss to a top 5 team, and another conference champion with two wins over top 10 teams. And here's Bama with their LSU win and punch your tickets boys! I mean, I warned everyone here that it was going to shake out that way before the final rankings came out. But it's REALLY hard to argue that Bama isn't benefiting from favoritism.

I see your point, but then look at Wisconsin's schedule and it's like...they really didn't beat anybody. The wins vs. Iowa and Michigan looked less impressive as the year went by. And then the lost the game that mattered the most.

And then the lost the game that mattered the most. But if you're valuing quality wins, then the B10 champ has them beat. The committee essentially is saying whichever criteria favors Alabama is the one we're gonna use. Which is not to completely make OSU out to be victims, because they were on the other side of the coin in 2014 when their name value and full championship won out over Baylor and TCU.

Bama rolls big next week.
That said, 4 isn't enough, if you are going to have non-conference Champions (that aren't Notre Dame or BYU) than what is the point. The one question is would they have made it if they beat Auburn and lost to Georgia in the SEC Title Game?

I guess the National Championship game will probaly feel more like a Alabama squash match as I'm not expecting Georgia to put up much of a fight, but then again WWE is setting up next week's raw to fail (unless they find a way to counterprogram against the national title game)
